- Revlon foundations/powders
- Rimmel Sweet Jelly Sheer Lipgloss
- Rimmel Soft Kajal Eyeliner in Jungle Green
- Wet n Wild Creme Shadows [WHERE ON EARTH HAVE THEY GONE!?]
- Maybelline's Unstoppable Liner in Black

All waterproof:

Maybelline:

- Lash Stylist
- Lash Discovery
- Full n Soft

Wet n Wild:

- H2O Proof Liquid Liner [reviewed this for my blog, its THE shit]

Also, I'm intrigued about the talk of this waterproof pencil by Prestige. Can anyone do swatches?

- Revlon Colorstay Makeup with SoftFlex, spf 6 (Sand & Med. Beige) - stays all day and the closest drugstore foundation that exactly matches my skin tone
- Maybelline's Waterproof Full & Soft Mascara, Brownish Black and Very Black (comparable to Clinque's Long and Pretty Lashes)
- Physician's Formula Talc Free Mineral Weal Finishing Veil (trans. powder)
- Chapstick Moisturizer, spf 15 (blue tube) - simple primer for lips
- Aromafloria's Stress Less Bath & Body Oil (great for taking off/disolving eye/face makeup - found at CVS and aromafloria.com)
- Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser for normal to oily skin
- NYX eyeshadows - great way to add some color to your palette without spending a lot of money (I prefer the singles)
- NYX Round Lipsticks - overall great buy but I do prefer MAC lipsticks because of the feel of these on my lips....NYX feels a little too slippery
- Revlon nail polishes - not the duos (awful!) but the black topped
- L'oreal Color Juice Sticks - really love Chai Love You - nice nude color
One more...CVS brand Beauty of Essence Brushes - great buy and if taken care of will last awhile...I've had some that are about 3 years old.

My favourite bargain basement items are:

  • Cyclax Apricot Scrub: even better than St Ives and costs only £1!

  • Boots Beauty Fluid: my HG moisturiser which comes in at a whopping £1.95

  • Carmex lipbalm which I paid £1 for in Tescos but the price has gone up since
  • Botanics face wipes: £3.49, my HG face wipes, get me clean and moisturised, super soft skin
  • Boots eye makeup remover pads: £1.49, remove even waterproof mascara with no tugging or red eyes, leaves behind an oily film which moistuises my eye area. These with my Botanics face wipes are perfect for my skin
  • Maybelline Colossal mascara: £6.99 give me super noticeable lashes which is hard when your lashes are already quite thick and long
  • Boots 360 mascara: unsure of price as was a freebie
  • Rimmel Special Eyes pencil in black: £2.49 excellent for lining the waterline and the upper lid, nice and creamy
  • Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Translucent: unsure of cost, maybe £3? Only powder I have ever used which didn't settle into my pores, actually kept me free from greasies (for more than the time stated on the packaging) and is TRULY translucent
  • Bourjois En Toute Legerete foundation: unsure of price as has been d/c'd
    cry.gif
but excellent light coverage without looking fake, makes me look dewy and not greasy
  • 17 lipsticks: £3 something, great coverage, nice and full of colour and actually match my lips well
  • 17 glosses: £ something, non sticky, nice and consistent colour
  • 17 eye dazzle: £3.49, gives eyes a nice sparkle for nights out, looks like you've used a very high end product as product is shimmery and not cheap tacky glitter looking
  • Wet n Wild highlighter: unsure of price. My perfect highlighter and it smells of sweet pea!

I only really have one drugstore item I love but I totally live by it! The only pencil eyeliner I use is:

Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

It is cheap (around $7), waterproof, and lasts for a really long time (it says 16 hours on the box.) I especially love being able to go to the pool and knowing my eyeliner will stay
yes.gif
I have been using it for like 6 years now and I really love it!

1) Revlon SuperLustrous Lipglosses in Pink Whisper and Nude Luster: the perfect, pigmented lipglosses...I like these better than my high-end stuff

2)Covergirl Lashblast: no big surprise here...this stuff is phenomenal

3) Milani Minerals Blush in Luminous and Mai Thai: pigmented, beautiful, and cheap

4) Almay Intense I-Color Eyeliner/Crayon Contour in Purple Amethyst, Brown Topaz, and Black Pearl: I prefer these to the Revlon liners...they don't snap on me and the colors are great

5)Almay Intense I-Color Powder Shadow Trio for Brown Eyes: surprisingly pigmented and flattering for brown eyes, the highlight color reminds me of Mac's Ricepaper

6) Jane Shimmering Blush in Wisteria: the only highlight I have ever used...works for day and night and doubles as nice eyeshadow

7) Essence of Beauty Crease Duo: I can finally manage a decent outer-V, all thanks to these CVS brushes

8) Covergirl Eye Enhancers in Tropical Fusion: xteener on youtube did a great tutorial with this, a nice cheap way to experiment with bright colors

9)Physicians Formula Baked Bronzer (the one with the gold veining): I think Fafinettex of youtube recommended this product, it works even for my fair skin

10) Maybelline Dream Matte Powder: great way to set foundation

my top drugstore picks..=)

foundation: Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation(i am NC42 in MAC and i use toast..i usually like to wear it as tinted moisturizer by mixing it with my moisturiser..good coverage, and yet not to heavy and spreads really well this way..)
setting powder: Coastal Scents Silica Powder (i have very oily t-zone and when i set my foundation with these,i stay matte for more than half a day unless i sweat..duh..
sneaky.gif
)
blush/bronzers:
1. La Femme blushes: great color pay off, great staying power
2. NYX rouge cream blush: creamy, pigmented, very easy to blend..my favourite got to be Natural..
lipstick:
1. NYX round lipstick: what not to love about these babies
2. Rimmel lipstick (the red packaging) : cheap and yet look expensive
lipgloss:
1. NYX megashine lipgloss: very pigmented for some of them, sticky(im really weird cz i like sticky lipglosses
cutey.gif
)
2. Revlon super lustrous: i have almost of them..very sleek packaging too
eyeliner:
1. ULTA automatic e/l: true to color, very creamy, stays in my waterline until i remove them
2. WnW cream eyeliner: in my opinion, better than mac fluidline..never budge on me

Here are my picks with a brief review of some:

  • Revlon Color Stay Foundation with SoftFlex (I use the Normal/Oily Formula in Caramel 400 ... I'm a MAC NC45 for reference.)
    • LOVE this stuff. Just as nice as my Clinique Even Better Foundation (for a little over half the price) and DOES NOT budge!
  • Loreal True Match Foundation
    • (I returned the foundation because I couldn't find a good match for my skin without buying two bottles to mix, but I loved the formula and coverage, but this product just has a large range of colors that aren't very WOC friendly
      ssad.gif
      )
  • Rimmel London Fix and Perfect Primer
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
    • Kerry's Rosewood and Dune are nice sheer nude/pink colors. Nice mosturizing formula to boot. However, you will need to use a heavy hand with their lighter colors.
  • Covergirl Lashblast Mascara
  • Loreal Voluminous Mascara
  • Maybelline New York Expert Eyes Twin Brow and Eye Pencils
    • ONLY pencil I have ever found that give me a natural looking brow. They don't work as eyeliner (too waxy and they don't show up well on my skin), but they work nicely as a brow definer because they are hard and can be sharpened to a precise point for natural looking brow strokes.
    • Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss
    Happy bargain hunting!

^ Sorry for the screwed up formatting in the above post. I tried to edit to add the VS lipglosses and Specktra messed it all up. Not sure what happened.

Walgreens (or my local supermarket's) knock-of version of Cetaphil
Walgreens Alpha-Hydroxy Face Cream (My face can't tolerate AHAs, but I love this on knees and elbows, and it's only $6.)
Aquaphor
Maybelline Cover Stick (Some of the lightest concealer shades I've seen in a drugstore line. The white shade is not really white, but very pale yellow/ivory.)
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control
HIP shadows
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder
