Thanks! I cannot wait.

I also ordered the Nordstrom MAC palettes that are especially out for the sale. I cannot wait to get those too!

That's so awesome! Nordstrom usually features a MAC exclusive for their anniversary sales. They look really
very nice. Which ones did you get?

I got the cool palette and the coral lip set. Both were a good deal ($49 and $39) for what came in it! It's on MacCosmetics.com as COMING SOON so I am not sure if they will actually sell it (under new collections on very bottom) or if it is just a tease.

Forgot to add, I am thinking about ordering the pink lipstick set too... :) Someone stop me!

I wanted to share an irritation really quickly and see if this has happened with anyone else. I went into Nordstrom to try the Lift Lumiere foundation today. The sales associate would not let me. I am in my mid twenties and she continued to tell me it wouldn't be right for me. I understood at first because I know I'm not the target audience. She told me I should try the Vitalumiere Aqua. I said that I had tried that multiple times and am not a fan at all. I explained I wanted to try this for the finish. She grabbed the VA foundation and told me I had probably been matched wrong and to let her match me. I told her that I had been matched several times and don't like the finish of the foundation. She STILL told me Lift wasn't for me and I should try somewhere else. The she offered to make a sample of the VA if I changed my mind... I decided to take her advice - I tried the Chanel counter at Nieman's. Has anyone else had such a hassle with a sales associate before? I really felt the need to come vent about it haha

I could not believe this. I was so astounded that I read it to my husband. We looked at each other and said in
unison, "Comcast." I won't go into what that means, but suffice it to say, once you've given a customer advice
and the customer chooses not to accept that advice, then you give the customer what they want---end of story,
case closed---the SA makes a sale. It doesn't matter that it wasn't the item he/she suggested. You are the
customer and you should have been given what you wanted. She did nothing but irritate you and lose business
for Nordies. I hope you had a better experience at Neiman's.

ROFL! I knew immediately what you meant by "Comcast"! HA HA HA.

I've definitely had my fair share of experiences with extremely pushy SAs who insist that I try this product or that shade. Some of them make me so uncomfortable that I'd much rather shop online rather than have to deal with them. Recently, I've finally found a Chanel SA who I LOVE, and now I'll only buy through her. If I'm planning to purchase in store, I call ahead to make sure it's her, and not the pushy SA, who's working that day! I will go to lengths to avoid pushy SAs. So sorry you had that poor experience, Alysse!!

I've never really had a pushy SA but I've had quite a few who don't really know the products well enough, like give me a confused look when I ask for a product or never heard of something. That's why I shop online! lol That's very strange though, especially because the Le Lift is more expensive!

Discretion blush now on Strawberrynet!!!!

I bought 2 back ups on ebay already...that should be enough, but wow never thought I'd see it online as it sold out in Australia as far as I'm aware.

She probably could not believe that a girl in her mid - twenties wanted THAT foundation. I am in my early forties and dior's make up artists keep on tellin' me it's too early for the capture foundation, which I've using (and loving) for years. They are simply over single minded, doing what they are told

I have never used the Givenchy but I do have the Dior Shimmer Powder that is now discontinued but was the RAGE for 5 years and is now selling for 3x the retail price at the time. I find the Chanel comparable.

I wanna order the highlighter now but I'm leaving town for a few days and Nordies shipping is so in the air. Hopefully it won't be sold out by next week.
