I already have a dent in the swirl part of havana from trying to find different combos. I wore it in the crease with Tweet me. Pretty, but still doesn't last long, and tweet me lasted longer.

do you mean it doesn't have staying power on you, or it's getting depleted quickly?

Thank you very much lilinah!

I am a little lighter (about NC 10) and I will try it together Peony Petal soon to see how it looks on me.
OK, i realized i was rather late at getting back to this, sorry. So i tried it today.

I did my skin care, did my face (simple primer, then Lancome Renergie Lift foundation, then setting powder). Then using my trusty and beloved MAC 188 small duo-fibre stippling brush i applied NARS Gaiety to my cheeks, forming something of a triangle from under my cheek bone to above my ear and on my cheek bone (not on the apple of my cheeks). I applied a second coat so the color would be stronger, then using the same brush i put some Blue Orbit on top of my cheek bone. Then gave it some time to see if it would change as it does on my bare eye lids...

I did my eyes. First, Tarina Tarantino Pearl Glow eye primer. Then Blue Orbit on the whole lid from lashes to crease, the swirly mauve-pink side of Pink Union from crease to brow, and the blue side in the crease, then highlighted only under the outer edge of my brow with the frosty pale blue in Hint of Sapphire (from Semi-Precious), because the mauvy-pink was (a) too dark and (b) giving me a small amount of silver glitter fall out. Lined my eyes with MAC Smokey Heir liquid liner, and put on some mascara.

I discovered that the only cool pink lipstick i have is frosted, which is ok normally, but too much with these sparkly eyes and cheeks. So i put on Too Faced Centerfold, which is lighter than my natural lip color, but basically neutral pink.

To conclude, i would say that Blue Orbit is probably a bit too blue for normal wear as a cheek accent as it might look a tiny bit bruised. I have no photos because i have no camera - it's on my list of new tech to get, along with a smart phone. I'm not really a luddite...

Comparing Blu Orbit with Chen Man Blue Reflects, the Blue Reflects doesn't add any base color, just warm blue sparkle, so it does not looked bruised.

Of course, someone else may want to give it a whirl and see how the color looks on a different skin tone. I'm between MAC 15 & 20 and neutral, leaning only slightly to warm.

Martiangurll.....you might also try Moon`s Reflection (which is perm) if you own this one.

I have not tried Diva in Distress yet but that sounds very nice....have to use this one over PP too.

Btw Beautiful Iris is super pretty as a lavender highlighter

LOLing at Luddite--I feel that way sometimes. This was awesome experimentation for your fellow humans on Specktra. I will sometimes use a little light blue e/s over blush to make it a little more blue based and over the highlighter to make it more like what I (can only) imagine the old Lightscapeade appeared to highlight. I use Diva In Distress blue e/s from Jeanius or Silver Gull from IA and they work for this. I bet the robin egg blue e/s from Style Driven would be hot as well, but I haven't gotten that one (yet). I wish I had BO edes to try this, but I will try either Silver Gull or Diva in Distress over Peony Petal blush (gonna play with make up tonight!)

I am pretty pale and the way my eyelids are, blacks always turn out muddy on me. Would you say Dark Dare is good for that? A lot of the time I use blacks for bases for other colors.

Dark Dare is still my favorite - best black ever!

The weather's been so springy, I've been wearing Blue Orbit and Young Venus more, but come Fall, Dark Dare is going to be on my eyes all the time.

I love Dark Dare! I find that Black can definitely look bruisy on me, too. DD is sheer enough to build up and create the look you want. I use a stiff domed brush to apply it and it works pretty well. The shimmer in it is gorgeous, too! It's like Cinderfeller MES but less prone to fall out and better color payoff, even when used dry.

So... Grand Galaxy (which I couldn't find ANYWHERE!) arrived today from Bloomingdales! Yay! I'm always nervous when I order from them because you never know when you'll get the email that what you ordered wasn't really available afterall! But it worked out this time!
I went ahead and grabbed a backup in case I love it, since I went through so much trouble tracking it down. Going to try it out tomorrow!
What's everyone's favorite shadow from this collection?
My favourite is Sweet Heat; great for summer. When I want an easy light look, I've been wearing a wash of Sweet Heat, Rich Ground fluidline and mascara. Also looks great with another colour in the crease, but not necessary either.

I wanted to love Grand Galaxy; I bought it and tried a few times. It was just too cold and frosty. Looks great on my green-eyed daughter though!

i can't recall whether it was in this thread or elsewhere, but i read somewhere that those two were similar enough to justify skipping WoG...

i bought superb and glorify as well, and love them both....especially since i got the 128 brush - before that i was a little less impressed with them because the brushes i had weren't really doing them justice!
