Oy. I was leaning towards Sun Dipped because I thought NoB would be too much on me, but you're slowly twisting my arm. Hmm...
Perhaps you can try it in store?
I ordered NoB without swatching it, but since I am NC 15 it was my first choice to get the yellow undertoned NoB. You can definately build up the intensity. The 167SH is perfect for a diffuse application. If you really have yellow or olive undertones I think NoB is perfect, but I will try Sun Dipped as soon as I get it. I reckon that will be next week unfortunately. I did go to the Pro store last Saturday and the MUA said he thought NoB would be the best too and Sun Dipped perhaps to create some extra dimension (no joke about the ED collection) in your face. SD could then be used on some parts for some extra colour.

I've tried both in store today. But my MA said that this would be the last time she can show items before they get released. I understand that, because people can come in and swatch items and then order online and that was exactly what she was afraid of. At least i was able to see these and i love them. I don't think Heroine is too bold and i don't like to layer lipgloss on lipstick, but i still need to get Funtabulous. I probably won't get it anytime soon, but once i finish a couple of lipglosses i'll try to remember to get that one. Butterfly Dream with Heroine does sound nice and if i would have liked layering i might have gotten BD just for that.

I'm also NC15, but not with strong yellow tones. I swatched NOB and SD next to each other and both me and the MA thought SD looked better. Strange that it was the other way around with you.

Exactly. If you swatch, give the store your business.

It sounds like you have a good relationship with your MUA, so happy future swatching for you. :)

I didn't swatch, just followed my instinct. As long as you don't overapply (which is so for any shade) you'll be fine. Maybe when I try SD I will like it or perhaps even better, who knows... But for now I really like NoB :)

Thanks for the input. I definitely think I'll compare both bronzers in store. Who knows, I may end up coming home with both! haha

The difference is that a red-based bronzer will imitate a slight sunburn, which looks more authentic, whereas a yellow-based bronzer just deepens the complexion. I hope this makes sense.

NoB gives me a subtle sense of... I was in the sun a while ago.

Just wanted to weigh in on my new items from this collection.........

-Jaunty is GORGEOUS!!!!! It is a really nice light neutral beige with just a hint of yellow/gold to it, but without any warmth...if that makes sense. I find that most of MACs perm shades that are similar are either too peachy or warm for me, but this one is just perfect! I wore it today over Morning Frost PP with Dark Dare (from ED) to add depth and it was amazing with just those 2 shadows. It reminds me a bit of Warming Trend, it is much lighter and more neutral, but has the same sort of flavor.

-Barefoot is a perfect gold in my opinion. It's a fabulous texture, a mid-tone neutral yellow gold (much less yellow than Goldmine), and seems to have an ethereal extra gold reflection as well. Like a gold with another gold duochrome if that was at all possible. I am always on the hunt for good gold shadows, and in my large stash of LE MAC I don't have another gold as good as this one. I should probably buy a back up!

-Feeling Fresh was interesting and the color was very vibrant and pigmented, but I found the shadow quite "dry". For some reason I think that a color like this needs to be moist and buttery, like a veluxe pearl, so when i swatched it I was immediately turned off. I would rather use Landscape Green pigment and then layer something frosty over the top to get the look that I wanted this shadow to have. That said, perhaps over Emerald Sea liner it would have the density and shimmer that I feel this color deserves.

-Fleet Fast was SO MUCH PRETTIER IN PERSON than all the pictures I have seen!!!!! In photos it looked kind of dirty and drab, but IRL it is beautiful "realistic" coral, and looks glowing and natural on the cheeks. SO glad I decided to buy it at the last moment, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is on the fence! I also thought it might look just like Early Morning blush from Naturally, but it is pinker, fresher, and less shimmery...but it is similar.

I managed to walk away from everything else in this collection and I think I am OK with that, but I may go back for back ups of Jaunty and Barefoot. ( I would rather back up all of my shadows from ED instead because those puppies are AMAZING!!!!!!)

Hope that helps! If anyone wants comparison swatches of Jaunty or Barefoot or Fleet Fast next to other shadows or blushes just ask!
:)

I go into the counter very often. If i get a new collection somewere else i still go the same week to my local counter. I also end up getting some extra goodies most of the time. I like talking to the MA's a lot, they are all very nice:)

That makes perfect sense. I'm really glad you talk so much about red-based bronzers. If you wouldn't i would have gone with NOB, because that's what the MA applied first on me.

They all disappeared from the normal site too. I was under the impression that everything had already launched on the pro site by the way everybody had been talking about their orders and all the swatches that were posted.

does anyone know the lasting power on these eyeliners? I never tried mac eyeliners, I have hard time finding the ones that last, I usually use urbandecay24/7 or chanel long lasting eyeliner. my fav so far
On me they last for all the day!! Emerald Sea is the best one imo!
