Girl, they all look pretty on you !! Especially Salute! I sold Salute to a few brown gals today. It looks scary in the tube, but paired with a liner and gloss.... it's beautiful!

I saw someone with shore leave liner and salute and it looks so pretty. I might go back and give it a shot.
Got a few goodies this morning. I ended up with Emerald Sea and Launch Away. I was interested in Feeling Fresh, but wore Wondergrass to my counter today and they looked pretty close. Close enough that I could pass. I also swatched it next to Fresh Flare Prolongwear e/s and they were very close. Fast fleet is gorgeous, but swatched nearly identical to Fleur Power on me so I skipped that one too. Jaunty didn't even show up on my NW15 skin. My counter was sold out of alot by 10:10 this morning... Red Racer Sail la Vie, Crew, Nude on Board and all 3 of the Suntints. My MA said their stock would likely be gone by tomorrow morning.

thanks liba!
i do love a true orange, and it looks so nice in everybody's swatches, but the fact that it's a 'party colour' might make it harder for me to wear. my complexion is warm in theory, but i tend to be able to pull off more cool colours than warm, unless they are just too light/white based. of course orange is a funny one for me. i seem to wear my glosses much less than my lipsticks and it's easier for me to pull off bright lipsticks at the office than bright sparkling glosses(that's me anti-enabling myself).
i'm going to try to skip it (going to check out the collection tomorrow) and hope for the best...

yay! you got your stuff!!
but oh no....i was hoping to axe crew...oh oh
yeah so I just got riviera life, and we are almost same shade, and tend to like the same things. GET IT! I didn't feel like it was really in your face, the finish was nice, and I'm the one who RUNS from anything orange.

It's awesome to see all the different people rocking Salute! Today, with my NC15 skin on its deepest end of the scale (I never am NC20, though), Salute was the exact shade as my skin - you could only tell there was a transition to a different color if I tilted my head at the right angle to highlight the glossy texture.

It IS a bitch to apply, though - I had to really pat it into my lips carefully with a finger, blot, wait a few minutes to get it really set then do another layer very carefully. The good news is that after wearing it for a while outdoors, it sort of melted in further and then it did in fact look nice and smooth. I was worried that it'd always look a bit patchy, so I'm glad about that.

P.S. - I tested Crew again. I think I must have gotten so much glitter because I'd originally used a brand new, unused tester and had only very lightly picked up the white part while I was trying to be gentle and not disturb the pattern. On the tester that had already been somewhat abused, it finally looked like a softly frosty light pink - like the sort of sunburn you get on a sunny spring day, not a broiling summer day. I was more tempted, but I'm still passing, because I will get a color like it from one of the Casual Colour pots, which is a seriously multi-use product and will be easier on my bone dry skin.

lol were u able to check out crew in person? I have refined golden from last years summer collection and i love it as blush. I havent even tried it as a bronzer lmao.
I did play with crew, and just decided to skip it. I was attempting to stick within a budget. ~roll eyes~ Plus I'm not that good with using all of these different types of face products yet, so I'm not sure I'm going to use it. for instance, I'm not sure I like WOG EDSF. I don't use redhead, I don't use the MSF from Wonder Woman, and etc....

I mentioned earlier that I thought Sun Dip might be like the golden shimmer/bronzer (Whatever it is), in the Bobbi Brown Miami collex, that ish was awful, it was a sparkly, shiny mess. LOL

I also think Bobbi Brown's blender brush has shorter bristles and is wider, than 167sh. You probably don't need both. Just got the rest of my goodies... Gonna go play.

Wow you look great wearing Red racer. Makes me regret skipping. And you totally look like snow white!
Would love to see how salute looks on your skintone. Fleet fast is gorgeous but it sold out before i could get it :(

I will try and post it tonite.

But I agree with others, how do you get your eyeshadow to looks so flawless, and your blends so crisp?

Today I got my package and they sent me Blessedly Rich l/g (which I already have) instead of Rviera Life. I got Riviera Life l/g at my counter so I'm going to tell both of the extras of Blessedly Rich and Riviera Life to whoever wants them.

I saw the collection at Saks yesterday but I only looked at the bronzers. I wanted to rule out Nude on Board. I forgot to check the other items. I ended up in Macy's today. I meant to check Feeling Fresh and Salute. Well Feeling Fresh looked so much like Fresh Flare. I thought Fresh Flare had a pinch more yellow. But I really loved the metallic finish on Feeling Fresh so I ended up getting it. I also couldn't resist Salute. It was speaking to me for some reason. I really don't like making an effort to make a color work but I think I will try with this one. I picked up Shore Leave lipliner. I have bought so many lipsticks and glosses this season in this same color that I had to get this liner. I also bought 2 more lip liners. I don't really do lipliners. I think I just got tired of Chestnut lip liner and the SAs always applied it so heavy. I haven't used it in years. Well, I was surprised at how many brown lip liners Mac had. I seem to recall only 2 "back in the day." Anyway, I got Stripdown because it looked really nice with the Blessedly Rich lipglass that I wore today. It's weird because I thought I tried Stripdown years ago and it didn't work. I also got Cushy because it was a nice warm brown (medium shade) liner that I thought would work well with many lip colors.

BTW - How fitting that this collection was released this week! I was downtown yesterday in NYC and there were all these cute sailors walking around in their uniforms for Fleet Week!
it looks great with both liners, but i think i prefer with redd as well. i might try RR out on thursday, if they still have it in stock by the time i get there!

thanks for all the swatches! i didn't realize tarnish was so greenish (so close to mystery)! do you think that's just from the lighting, or are they close to dupes?
i have henna, but not gaelic gold or for that matter gorgeous gold, so i probably won't be repeating anything i already have with barefoot...
Tarnish and Mystery are very close. But Mystery leans more teal and tarnish more green. But they both have a black base.

That's nuts! My store had everything in stock and I went at 5:30 to get a couple of RR's for my friend.
Ooh! I just tried Shore Leave lip liner with Salute lipstick (using Elegant's dab and smoosh method) and a tiny bit of Blessedly Rich lipgloss. Love it! I will try some more lip combos tomorrow.

Pewter is a good description for this color.

I thought Blessedly Rich looked nice over To Catch a Sailor as well. I think that is the way to go.

Do you have a Youtube channel? Your face looks familiar.

What lipliner and gloss did you recommend? Thanks.

I just bought these two. I will try them together.

Tarnish and Mystery are very close. But Mystery leans more teal and tarnish more green. But they both have a black base.
I sold Salute with Hover lip pencil to two girls and Have to Have It lip pencil to another girl. I sold Orange Tempera with it as well. Today at work I wore Salute with Hover topped with a tad of Peachstock lipglass and loved it.
