Aww womp womp Was it too dark? Coppery? Ugly?!
I don't know, I swatched it on my NC15 arm and it did absolutely nothing for me. I can imagine it looking wonderful on other people, but for me it was a happy skipper

WOW!! All your swirls are really nice! I like how much cream is in your Earthly, you'll really be able to grab the different colors in yours. ALL your MSF's are PERFECTION!
Thanks! I was quite pleased too. But I saw no ugly ones. I just picked the ones that were just a bit more perfect :)

That's ok... We'll allow it... HeeHee
Did you try one w less burgundy or was it just a skip for you all around?
The tester had some burgundy in in but not extreme, so I took several swatches with more and less burgundy, but on my skin it was all ... meh

Cusp of Dawn is an amazing ls! I thought that it looked rather MEH in the tube, but it is amazing on. Just the right pinkish nude for me. Must get a couple of BUs.

So far I am in love with everything that I bought. Not a regret in the entire massive haul.

Glad I decided to get Cut a Caper after all. Late 2010 (Tartan Tale) I really wanted it when B2Ming 30(!!!) empty packages. I B2M via mail to the UK and guess what, that particular package got lost in the mail and I missed out on CaC (and 4 other lippies)

!

I am glad I got it now. It is really pretty (although I coat my lips at least 5 times in order to get the pigmentation I like). Pretty shade.

Btw: I didn't really like Earthshine IRL.
Yes I said it...
Hehe, you've certainly got my backup on that bold statement. I'm NC15 too, and no matter what I tried (different brushes, avoiding the burgundy bits, applying on top of a lighter shade), I couldn't get it to look like anything other than dirt on me. You and me have that double whammy combo of too warm-skinned plus too fair skinned for this one. There was no way I was going to buy a huge MSF just to use it as eyeshadow, no matter how beautiful and mesmerizing it looks in the pan.

I'm glad MAC is willing to make shades that are NOT designed for all skin tones every now and then, though. A color that's specifically designed for a certain skin tone range is always going to look much more beautiful on the right people than some all-purpose color that's trying to be a fit across too general an audience. Case in point: Elude.

Heck, as it was, I spent a disgusting amount of cash on this collection and I'm thrilled with everything I got. I will say that while Earthshine was left behind for me, Stratus looks excellent on me - sexiest contour color I own by far. Just goes to show how a slight shift in undertone can make the whole difference.

* High fives Liba. I don't buy an MSF for eyeshadow. I want to be able to use it on my face and if I can use it als e/s as well that's a bonus but not necessary.

Just wish you hadn't mentioned Stratus. Skipped that one. My eye is twitching now.

Ok, so here is my stuff with flash

...and here without flash.

From bottom left to right: Earthly, Sky, Water, Light Year, Star Wonder, Center of the Universe, Ring of Saturn and Supernova.
In the middle Cut a Caper, Meteoric and Astral.
I must say that I saw no real bad swirls. They were all pretty and balanced I guess, but I chose those that appealed to me the most.
I love all your swirls, definitely jealous of your haul!

I can totally understand why you didn't buy Earthshine Liba and MACerette. Why buy a MSF only to use it as an eyeshadow? There are plenty of other nice things to buy.

On my NW20 skintone it looked very good, although I initially was thinking about skipping it. CotU however looked horrible and kind of dirty on me. So it really depends on your skintone what suits you and what doesn't.

Cartoonchic, the 286 is my favourite blending brush! It blends like a dream. I have the 234, 224 and 217 blending brushes to compare it with.

Now I can't stop thinking about Solar Ray and Bright Moon.

I'm still getting eye twitches about the Bright Moon I had set aside but wound up passing on.

Meanwhile, here's my anti-enabler opinion on Stratus. If you are like me and think MBs are the bestiest best, Stratus is a very unique and beautiful color for that super sexed up contoured look. It's great now that I have a tan. It's also great for summer and fall, due to that beautiful glimmering metallic sheen. Will I wear it in the winter and spring? Probably not, but then again, I've got quite a bit of seasonal makeup and I'm OK with that.

I DO think that there are going to be some similar colors coming this fall in different formulas, although maybe with more red undertones or straight brown than Stratus. If you love standard powder blush more than MBs or you'd prefer a cream contour for more control or you want something more matte, you could probably skip Stratus. For me, I think the sheen makes it more wearable than a similar color in a more matte formula, and also I think it's more wearable for me due to the Mineralize formula, that melts into my skin in a certain way that softens some colors that I don't do as well with in a standard powder (HELLO SUPERNOVA - I've avoided all magenta blushes until now - Supernova is SO wearable for me, compared to standard powder or cream).

I bought Stratus, Supernova and Ring of Saturn and I'm just as thrilled with them as I've been with my Naturally MBs - they're all 100% super sexy and about as modern as you can get for a makeup look. I'm loving the strong cheek/strong lip/minimalist eye look very much.

Haha, so true! Center of the Universe actually looks amazing on me. I love how it looks lightly applied all over, then built up more on the cheeks for extra color. It's going to give my other bronzers a lot of competition this year. I'm only sorry this collection didn't come out a month earlier so I could have had even more use of it!

I have made a total of four different purchases from this collection, I usually hardly ever get a bu...but I did for earthshine...it's beautiful. I tried very hard not to buy all of the MSFs, but eventually I caved in and purchased starwonder...I went to the mall and I initially wanted to "see" the swirls....I picked a gorgeous one with lots of gold....and like a moth to light...I was sold!

This was my initial earthshine that I purchased online....

This was the one I have hand picked...LOVED the gold...couldn't resist!

This one is lovely for my nc20 skin

I was hesitant with star wonder, but I hand picked this and it was WAY too gorgeous to pass up..

My two blushes..

I have so many pink es...but I couldn't resist...tooo gorgeous

Haha Liba, it is really the other way around!

Are you still going to get Bright Moon? I would prefer a Bright Moon with lots of see green/mint and less silver.
