I'm gonna make a preliminary list just for the hell of it in case I get the newest new job I'm after at Club Monaco. (Have interview #2 out of 3 on Tuesday.)
Ready to Roam l/g
Restless l/g
Supercontinental blush
Eden Rouge mattene
Camden Chic mattene
Good luck. Treating yourself to your list will be a nice celebration when you get the job.

That collection doesn't excite me as much as I thought it would..

Mattene lipstick Fun finds
Eyeshadow duo On the hunt
Powder blush Supercontinental

I will probably skip it all if my wish list doesn't grow more than that!

At the store I'm going to, they close it to the public even though the event is during regular store hours. They only allow people on the RSVP list to enter. I'm not sure if it's the same practice at other stores. It'll still probably be crazy, but fun.
Ohhh good to know! I didn't actually think about it until I was making my post last night and went "hmmm...." I've just been so excited that I got my shift request so I can go!

I hope I can still make the event on Tuesday! My husband might have to work and I don't have a babysitter

I was invited to the Macy's event. Am I the only one who hates events? I would rather just go in, be left alone to swatch, and then just tell my person what I want. I think part of it has to do with the fact that I work in the community where my MAC store is and I don't want to be sitting in a chair getting my makeup done when someone I know walks by! The other part of it is I hate sitting still (that includes beauty shop, dentist, or anywhere else I am required to sit still!) plus I always feel like I have buyers remorse over getting colors that weren't on my list but were suggested to me!

You are not alone. It's just too crowded and impossible to swatch. The biggest turn off for me is the combination of finger food and make up. Yes, I have seen a piece of salmon stuck to a lippie at an event as the "lady" was swatching and eating at the same time.

I usually swatch a few weeks before the event when no-one has touched the collection. That's also the best way to test how pigmented the products are and how they apply. Once there are greasy finger in a blush or e/s, hell breaks loose. :)

Glad I am not alone here! Salmon on lippie=gag! :barf: My SA calling tommorow to get my order. I will gladly just pick up and swatch a few iffy products add those to my purchase and be on my way!

You'd think people would have more sense than that, but then I remember...there are way too many stupid people.

I've narrowed my list to Marché aux Puces, On the Hunt and Local Wares. I'm prepared to order all of those blind. I love olive green and I'm confident that I'll love the fluidline. I have Dark Diversion and really like it; I bought it and Dark Envy from the Canadian website in May.

I'll wait to see the Mattenes in person; I just ordered Moscow (skipping Scarlet Ibis) and Amsterdam (skipping Rocker) so I'm not sure that I still want Camden Chic. I have quite a few reds now (VG1, Ruffian Red, Fire Sign) and may wait for a more Queen's Sin like colour. I have Sail la Vie and Autumn Leaves (adore that one) and I don't want to dupe oranges either. Fall colours are the most flattering on me but I have way too many lippies on the go as it is and I'm tempted by all of the fall purple lippies being launched. I'd love to find one that works for someone as warm toned as I am.

Unfortunately, despite wearing SPF 45 religiously on my vacation, I still tanned quite a bit. I can still manage my tinted moisturizer in medium, but my foundations are all too light for me and I don't want to add a darker one to what I already have open. I tan way too easily - I loved that when I was in my teens/early 20s but hate it now.

I hope it fades quickly since I prefer to wear foundation to work.

I wear a physical sunscreen with an SPF 45 every single day. I work in an office during the week, which means that I don't tend to spend long hours outdoors most days. I wear sunglasses and on particularly bright days, I wear hats. I still get tanned. It's very frustrating, because it does tend to mess with what colours work on me- my complexion changes just a little bit and everything looks a little different. Plus, of course, I just ran out of foundation, so I had to get some in a colour that likely won't be a good match for me in a month.

Sigh. I'm hoping that I'll be back to my normal colour soon enough.

Still think I'll stick to Camden Chic and Marche aux Puces. And Style Seeker n/p. That looks prettier every time I see a picture of it. Unlike some, I haven't had bad luck with most Mac polishes I've tried. I do think that they're a bit overpriced, but I've probably had as many issues with Chanel and Butter London they're even more expensive.

I normally wear SPF 20 moisturizer during the day and then some of my foundations also have SPF 15. That keeps me reasonably close to my natural tone while I'm at the office. For the last two weeks I've spent probably 10 hours a day out and about in daylight in 32-37 degree Italian sun. Nice problem to have, but I couldn't believe how much I was tanning through SPF45.

I'm normally about NC22 or so - I have no idea what I am now. NC35-40, maybe deeper? Unlike when I was younger, I just don't find that being darker than usual is flattering. I'm diligent about serums and creams and getting tanned just negates that effort.

I had a fabulous time and there's no way I'd have stayed indoors, but I definitely need a better sunscreen strategy for vacations.
