I kept putting off On the Hunt until I got paid, since it was still on the nordstroms site. But now it is gone and I have serious skippers regret

I stopped by my local Nordies last night to see what was left of this collex.

Practically everything was gone.

All of the lip pies, e/s, blush. The thing I dislike about Nordies is they keep all of the testers on the display so you get your hopes up high when you see things and then everything is gone.

I was too tired to crawl up to the MAC store.

I'm happy with the few items I picked up though.
Really? How odd. Most of the Nordies in my area will keep the display up, but replaces all the sold out items with perm shades. There is one that keeps the testers out, but they slap SOLD OUT stickers on everything, haha.

Caved and ordered HT. Was planning on skipping Supercontinental until Pinkdollface mentioned that it's like hipness with a bit of orange mixed in. I MUST HAVE IT NOW!

Add me to the group of people who are regretting skipping OTH. I thought it would look too red on me, but now I'm second guessing that decision. Oh well! I'll wait around for a restock and if not, more money for upcoming collections.

Whew. I decided to depot Supercontinental and Hidden Treasure. My HT is the only one I own and it was covered in glue on the entire underside of the pan. I had to use some serious prying stealth and patience to get it out. Luckily, it depotted successfully and now it's in a Z-palette along with my blushes from theBalm, Stunner, and my three NARS singles Deep Throat, Gaiety and Outlaw!

Went to the store today to check out the Styleseeker collection. I arrived there at 3.30 in the afternoon and Worldly Wealth was already sold out. I found that really odd because in that store stuff doesn't normally fly off the shelves the first day. Luckily i was only interested in the other two blushes, when i asked for them the SA pulled out the drawer, seriously there were like 30 products in the drawer all together from this collection

It was all they got in, they didn't even receive the display, the products were just lying there on the counter lol. I got the last Supercontinental, the last Hidden Treasure, one of the two last Marché Aux Puces, Camden Chic, Local Wares, and Restless. They already had the Viva Glam Nicki Lipglass in so i bought that too.
Now i'm really worried about the Marilyn collection, if they are getting a stock that tiny, things will sell out in 5 mins lol

Nothing is up here in UK yet, at least online. I'm hoping for Monday now.

After seeing swatches of this collection I decided to get 3 of the eyeshadow duos instead of blushes.. I do still love the look of all 3 blushes as well, but I can't afford everything :(

I probably have similar blushes already..but they still are gorgeous!!!

I know that your package was lost...but you have HT now. What do you think of it?

NAH, For some odd reason that MAC counter keeps the testers in the display even if all of the products are sold out. Drives me insane!

Every other MAC counter in the area slaps sold/out stickers or places perm items in the empty slots.

All of you who missed On the Hunt, there are a few shadows in Office Hours that are going to be similar - maybe a little pinker/redder, but close enough. I really debated getting OtH vs. the Office Hours ones, because I like something with plenty of pink and red undertones for my green eyes, but I particularly liked Star Myth's shimmer, plus the duo was a better deal overall than buying individual jumbo sized shadows.

However.....to make you feel better, Raving Mad is quite stiff. Personally, I like the stiffness, because you can get a really cut crease or sharp wing with it, but it's not that blendable, if you prefer a really softened edge. There will certainly be an Office Hours one that'll be close and you can always use something like Magnetic Attraction, which is very similar, in place of Star Myth. (I didn't get MA because I already had In the Sun, even though MA was smoother, but now I have Star Myth, which is very beautiful and easy to work with).

I dunno if this really talks anyone out of lemming OtH, but there are options out there to help with the Skipper's Remorse!

The little delivery label UPS puts on the package before it's out for delivery had a typo on my address. I got it the following day safe and sound! I really like HT and I know I'll use it a bunch in the upcoming months. It is suuuper pigmented, though, so I really do not need to even swirl the brush to get powder to apply it. It looks pretty similar to Outlaw on me, except I would say Outlaw has just a smidge of berry. They both give a good flush to my cheeks without being too rosey! I'm glad I didn't BU Hidden Treasure because as I said, it's very pigmented and I don't need that much. Even if I used it daily, I'm sure it will last quite a while.

I am so glad you received it no problem. It is such a pretty blush. I have Outlaw too actually, it's my first Nars blush, and they look way different in the pan. I'll have to wear Outlaw to see if they look similar or not. Either way I'll enjoy both lol.

PM me if you don't mind one that's been used 3 or 4 times. I don't care for mine at all; I was going to return it but just never bothered.
Audrey, 'just wanted to say "this is why I love Specktra". I love seeing people who understand how limited these things are and would rather go through the hassle of passing them along to someone who wants them, rather than just returning them and letting them get binned without anyone getting any enjoyment out of it.

I mainly depotted the HC blushes and Stunner because I had some room in the palette to fill! My priority was to depot the NARS blushes, putting them in the see-through Z-palette made the most sense. TheBalm blushes (Fratboy top left, Downboy bottom left), those haven't been used before. I'm hoping the palette system will get them into rotation. Gaiety is just kind of sticking out like a sore thumb. I'll rearrange these once I get more palettes (someday), but I will eventually get some more NARS blushes, too. I'm still on the fence if I should get some MAC blush palettes, in the old style, but I have to decide quickly before they're gone.

did you have a hard time depotting the nars blushes? do you use heat, or just pry?
ht, sc and stunner look nice together....i think i'm going to have the same three in my next depotted mac palette. i was thinking about putting emote and the two blushes from style warriors in there to round things out...

The NARS ones were pretty easy. I have a candle warming plate that I use for the heat. I just set the whole package on there and waited for a minute or two. I didn't disassemble the packaging, just let the whole thing warm up. I have an X-acto knife that I place on the side of the pan and just apply the smallest bit of pressure. If it sounds like the glue is loosening, it should slowly pop right up, if there's no sound, I put it back on the plate for a little longer. For me, it helps keep my diligence with getting the pans out. Sometimes I just keep applying pressure and that's when the product cracks or crumbles!

That's part of the reason I depotted those three, too. I have the Tres Cheek and a bunch of coral shades, but these three were kind of their own grouping. Eventually, I'll get more colors to compliment them, but right now I have a majority of brights, pinks, purples and corals.

I also depotted all of my Urban Decay single shadows today. I only had one casualty, and that was Urban Decay's matte eyeshadow Chronic. I just chipped a little bit of the edge as I was prying the plastic plate out of the package to set it on the warmer. It's still mostly in tact, though! Mattes are pretty crumbly, if you're not careful. By that time, Chronic was one of the last ones that I was getting out of the packaging, and I had depotted 30+ pans beforehand. I even depotted one of my Vera powders, but then I realized that not many pans that size fit into a large Zpalette! I'll have to try out the pro Zpalette and see if I can fit some powders in there.

Ohh I also depotted my Lightscapade! Without a hitch, I was so proud lol, then I put it in the regular Zpalette and of course I hadn't used enough of the product for it to fit, so I put it back in the package, with it loosely in there, but the benefit is that I don't plan on traveling with the MSF, even if I do use it everyday. If I go on vacation, it always stays at home

You're making me want to go on a depotting spree but I'm so nervous! I would love to put my Tres Cheeks in a palette together but I'm so scared of breaking them. I'm going to try out the candle warmer with my eyeshadows. Thanks for the tips!
