I am excited to see how Stereo Rose 2013 will look and if it will be somehow different from the previous ones.
If I remember right the one that was released with ITG looked a bit different from the "original" SR.
How was it different (not beigescape though

)?

I have mine form the 2nd outcome. Propably not BUing.

MES! MES! MES! My all-time (in my whole year and a half of buying MAC) favorite product. Will skip the blushes and skinfinishes but it's a rare "no" that I say to mineralize eyeshadows.

A few clarifications:

There's just the 2 MSFs

None of the eye shadows are repromotes.

One of the four blushes is a repro.

That's it for the repromotes in the collection - everything else is new.

The most exciting thing for me is the mineralize lip balms - they sound fantastic - if you made a Lip Gelee that you could also use to moisturize your lips!! There are a lot of colors too - more like 8-10 of them!
Thanks for the clarifications :) I already know I'm going to want the 3 new blushes and some eyeshadows..I love Mac's mineralized products!

I'm with you on this. I know that whole collection was a big deal when it first came out (from what I've heard, comparable to the recent madness of the Marilyn collection), but I never saw it in person so I don't know why it's so hyped. It looks pretty in the pics I've seen, but nothing I've seen so far has given that OMG effect. Except the hype surrounding it, of course.

Either way, I love MAC's mineralized products, so this collection will probably be another big stab in the wallet. I need to find another job to cover all this!

I'm hoping to go easy on this collection. I already have Stereo Rose and Porcelain Pink, and I don't use MES all that much.

Will there be a blue or green mes eyshadow?

I'm mostly excited about the mineralize lip balms because of the moisturizing rather than the 8-10 colors. :)

As for MSFs, are they used as a blush or as highlighters? I never saw the hype in them despite that they're very pretty in the pan, but I'd really like to know their purpose.

Either depending on your coloring. Today I am wearing Refined as a highlighter. I wear Stereo Rose and Light Flush as a blush. I am nw20. I don't wear mine that often though and will not be backing any up.

Hmm...I have the original Stereo Rose, but being an N15, it's way too dark for me to use daily. So instead, I use it for stage as a blush. And in that case, it's lovely. I don't have PP, but maybe I'll try to snatch it up this time around.

I see what somebody else (can't remember) was saying about how it was such a hit because it was considered new for it's time. These days, I will probably get Stereo Rose because everyone talks about it, but I'm sure it is highly dupable with all the shades that released since then.

That was me. I guess this always happens. Look at how bug-eyed everyone was about Candy Yum Yum. It's an awesome lipstick, but now that there have been a ton of other bright neon matte pinks out there, people can pick and choose a little more. With face products like Stereo Rose, time passing makes an even bigger difference, because now there are more and better formulas and there's a coral in them all. If you like the finish or the exact shade of Stereo Rose, great, but mine sure has been sitting around not getting much use, now that I've got stuff like Marine Life, Modern Mandarin, Early Morning, Center of the Universe, etc.

No green. There is a bluish grey and some other cool tones and a plum that sounds a bit like Winterized.

I agree completely. I feel it is somewhat played out and been one uped by the new stuff.

Hm...I think you've both just saved me the hunt. I don't have Marine Life (I meant to buy it a bit ago from a board member and I forgot all about it), but I have a bunch of other coral variants (Modern Mandarin, Early Morning, Fleet Fast, NARS Liberté, Orgasm and Torrid) as well as just as many lighter shades. Realistically, I don't need another blush for the next decade. I've been doing a lot better at resisting new blush purchases of late (other than The Perfect Cheek), so I should probably sit this one out as well. I certainly have no shortage of orange/coral/peach tones. If I don't have a near dupe, I bet I could get pretty close by experimenting with combinations of what's already in my collection. I need to get better at that.
