Checked out the collection at the Pro shop today. I have some B2M items that I want to bring in that I'm likely going to use for exchanges on the lippies. I feel more confident that I can wait a couple of days on these, whereas I was pretty sure that the Strength things I wanted would sell out. On my list:

Apres Chic l/s
Hot Chocolate l/s- the mauve tones really showed on me
Silver Birch e/s- I'm nervous, because these shadows seem more sparkly and less satiny than the Naturally ones from last year. The sparkly ones are usually the ones that kill my eyes

I'm also thinking about Amber Glow blush. It's lighter and softer than I'd anticipated... not as warm as I'd thought it would be.
Amber Glow makes a nice highlight.

This makes me regret skipping it. I think I can create it though by layering a nude with a deeper purple/mauve...

Be warned, vent coming on:
I am so mad at myself after feeling disloyal to Nordies due to the fact that they got this collection late and I pre-ordered from Macys. I just called Macy's to confirm my order still stands for pick up later this evening. The MUA checked and told me that she wasn't there for a few days and her mgr must have undo my pre-order. Luckily for me, she told me that there has not been a lot of sales on the items I wanted so she was able to put my package back together for me. I guess that since I did not pay yet I shouldn't complain, huh? I still will go to my Miami Nordies to pick up additional items. I would be so upset if everything was gone after I placed my trust in their hands!!!
It's great that you'll still be able to get your items. You know, I can understand if some stores or counters don't want to pre-sale MAC items since the demand is usually insane but if that's the case then they shouldn't do it at all. Idk what's up with this pretend pre-sale stuff. Seems like a good way to lose customers.

i was on the fence in the store...i was kinda close to walking out without buying anything because it was so packed and i didn't know if i loooooooved it. i mean it's nice, but no one's going to fall out of their chair or anything when it's on my lips...(i mean to say, it doesn't have the same impact as the strength lipsticks for example). my deciding factor was actually plum lipliner...it was on my wish list and just matched so perfectly i figured it was meant to be.

i terms of the colour for nc 43 -44, i think someone else mentioned earlier that they liked that it wasn't too peachy or pastey etc... i'd agree with that - it's nice because it almost looks like i'm not obviously wearing lipstick, yet it's also not one of those lipsticks that washes out my lips entirely. and it's not too grey...which was a worry of mine after verve.

I got to the mall at 6:45am and happy to say that by the time Macy's opened, there were hardly any customers there. I didn't feel like taking pictures (i'm kind of a grouch in the mornings). I only purchased Ice, Fireside, Winter Pursuit, SR MSF, and Cozy Up l/s. Honestly i wasn;t blown away by the rest of the items. Frost at Midnight was too much of a darkened blue/purple on me and Silver Birch reminded me of Modern Pewter with Chanel's Epatant on top of it which i rarely use. Didn't even bother looking at the eyeliner's as I feel there are so many better ones on the market. Alpine Bronze wasn't anything special on my NC44 skintone either. Warm Companion is a great layering lipstick for darker/deeper skintones but i wouldn't wear it alone...its way too light and frosty looking. Haute Attitude is a nice pink but nothing that i can't live without. Apres Chic is a nice pinky brick red, not the color i thought it would be looking at a previous swatch. It's better but again, didn't need it. I will say that this lipstick of the 5 had the best feel to it. It had great color on just one stroke and felt creamy on the lips. Didn't bother with the balms, the pricing is ridiculous as it is. Overall i'm pleased with my haul and glad that i didn't spend the 188.00 as previously calculated.
I went to Bloomies and bought all the shadows and the brush. I bought quite a few of the lip balms. I think they were overpriced as well but seemed quite moisturizing. I have super dry lips so I'm always looking for a new balm. I forgot to get the Alpine Bronze blush. It looked light but wearable. I hate when I forget something. Maybe I don't need it after all.

I fell IN LOVE with this collection for the most part. I went to a counter and a store today because after I saw the lippies I was hooked.. I had preordered a lot that came on Monday and I knew I liked Amber glow. It is so soft and creates a wonderful glow on me. Today I got Alpine Bronze. I was scared of oompa loompa but it is very nice on me. I am NW 15 or so and I liked it a lot. NOT to contour but as a blush or a light bronzer. It is a true caramel on me and would be a nice highlighter on darker skin tones. I skipped Gentle because I have it and do not love the color.

Frost at Midnight I have to use wet or the color payoff sucks. Fireside, as I said before is like UD Lounge etc on me. It pulls reddish brown. I might use it over the purple Big Bounce and see if it pulls more purple. WP is copper, cinnamon, but more subtle and not as bright. I initally skipped ICE and SB but they turned out to be my favorites. I got them both today. They are SUPER shimmey but it is fine milled and I have not had fall out issues. ICE is nothing like Invincible Light, It is way more pigmented, smooth, and a light gold. Close to white gold pigment. SUPERB for me. SB isn't really silver like I thought. It is more like Modern Pewter. I love it.

Hot Chocolate and AC were sold out at Macy's. I like them both. HA, is going to replace Creme Cup for me. I can't bu that one enough. It is perfect. Cozy Up was eew, kind of like Mocha maybe. IDK but I was not feeling it. I have nothing like AC. It is so wearable but different. HC is bu worthy. It is like NI and Spice had a baby. I love love it but it is a 90's flashback color to me. WC is a super frost, like a lighter frost Cusp of Dawn. It is a gorgeous light nude color but it is FROSTY!!! However, it is not Tyrone Biggums city with it. YAY! I was surprised I liked it and got it.

Lip balms were ok, still sticky. To me the new lipglasses have been far less sticky than in the past and it feels like them. I got the Stay Warm and I can't see a color on it when I wear it. They are suppppper vanilla scented. They are not worth $20 to me.

Stereo Rose is softer but looks way more metallic than the one I have at home. It must be the gold veining. PP this time seems more chalky than before but it was softer/more finely milled IMO.

The liners are ok, I love the teal and agree that the purple super sucks!

I saw the blushes today at my counter, they're beautiful! Alpine bronze is my favorite and I'm a C3, amber glow would make a good highlight ... ! Hot chocolate is prettier in person than in pictures, cozy up is a lot more wearable than salute was

Just getting in from Nordies. I skipped the mes, msf, and blushes. I wasn't that impressed with them. I'm the only one that LOVED the balms? I bought them all... *hangs head in shame* I skipped hautte attitude because it seemed like a pink I already have or can dupe. It was nothing special on. Actually none of the lippies were. Although monidolls pics makes me want to try it again. All of the lippies look great on you! I skipped cozyup. But want to try it again. I felt like it was too light. I loved the color of warm companion but hate the frost. I bought it bcuz it looked great with nice and simple. It really toned down the frost. I bought apres chic, this definitely a red to skip if you want something brighter. On me it was a red coral. Kinda in the same family as hibiscus for me.someone elese. Said terra-cotta. And I agree with that. J could've skipper it, but wanted to see if I could play with it. I felt kinda, meh with hot chocolate, I bought it anyway because I figured a plum liner or nightmoth will bring out the plum. But it was almost as blah as glamordaze. I can't even begibg to tell you how horrible that was. But I wanted to see if I could play with it. It is a lot lie the center lip pic on me.

Sorry for the typos. I'm on my phone. I felt like the lippies were a little dull. I can't wait to get my strength items tomorrow. I'm probably the only one but I'm glad the lip balms are not glittery. They felt smooth and somewhat moisturizing. I love that they are glossy but don't give you the greasy lip look. Id return the lipsticks and get backups of these. The pink one looked great on top of haute attitude. I think id even give up my tendertones. Rosy romance was so pretty on. I also got the teal liner. So pretty!

I agree about cozy up. It is a lot more wearable than salute.... but still a little to ashy Larry. But like I said, monidolls pics make me reconsider. Oh and I am nc44 with naturally pink lips for a reference.

This collection is so so so glittery! I didnt expect the MES to be this glittery. The only one that i could to be not so glittery was ice. Everything else just seemed packed with glitter. -__-

I made my rounds as planned this evening. I picked up my Macys order, stopped by Nordies and flew into the Mac counter upstairs Nordies. My total and final haul until Feb Smoky PP (will try with Lunar and Frost at Midnight) Ameythst PP (will try with Half Wild PP, Love Cycle, Universal Appeal etc) Frost at Midnight ES Winter Pursuit ES x 2 Fireside ES X 2 (more greenish tint on me, kinda weird but I like) Mineralize Shadow Brush 287 Signature Blue EL............for a friend Dreamy Lipglass..........back to mac Mac multiple collections allow for a wide variety of personal preferences, more items to pick, choose and refuse from as my dislikes may be another person's HG. People like to have options but when they get it they are overwhelmed, so funny, just a thought, totally irrevelant

What do you think would be good choices for me? I am supposedly NW5; very pale, and very very cool toned with naturally rosy cheeks (how dark a pink they are depends on the weather, mostly). I have green/hazel eyes and dark blonde hair. I only want to get 2-3 things, tops. I have a lot of MES that were released starting with Semi-Precious and don't want any near dupes.
I like the swatches of AG MB and SR MSF a lot, but I'm afraid they're too warm for me. I have swatched PP MSF numerous times at counters and CCOs, and it completely disappears into my skin no matter how I apply it, so that's a no-go.
My skin is neutral, between 15 & 20 and i have hazel eyes, too, but dark hair. I can wear some warm and some cool blushes/ MSFs, depending on their color, tone, and intensity.

The apples of my cheeks are way too pink, sometimes even red - i have mild rosacea. So i wear blush higher on my cheek bones only after i have toned down the apples of my cheeks with color-correcting primer or concealer and mattifier (I discovered this spring that mattifier keeps the primer or concealer from melting off my cheeks - i don't wear it anywhere else on my face because matte all over is not good on my dry skin). If i don't tone down my cheeks first, there's no reason for me to add blush, it just looks clownish.

Stereo Rose was too orange and too intensely colored for me. I might be able to wear it if i were to be very very careful with my application (i usually use my MAC 188 duo fibre stippling brush for blush). Given that you are paler and cooler toned than i am, i suspect Stereo Rose will be waaaay too highly colored for you.

I only tried Amber Glow on my inner arm, where i first test most cosmetics, and, IIRC, looked too yellow and chalky. But i figure i should test it on my cheeks to be certain, which i'll do on Friday.

Perhaps you might think about doing a little something to tone down the color of your cheeks. Then you might be able to wear a wider range of blush / MSF colors. Or maybe your pink cheeks just look beautifully natural. Mine, sadly, do not.
