your comments, so please don't hold back, altho I have been known to be a bit snarky meself. I appreciate the brow tips though, as I was wondering how to use the fluidline. I got the one in Dirty Blonde & the veluxe brow pencil in brunette...as I am curious about the "powdery" finish on that and I like a pencil for when I am in a hurry or a fast touch up.
Thank you

Yay! Got the Dirty Blonde fluidline today. I redid my brows with it and it was so quick with the 208. I asked if it would become perm and the SA said she thought it would but who knows. I may buy a backup next time I place an order. Otherwise I may buy the Laura Mercier brow definer again.

Is the general consensus that Deep Dark Brunette brow fluidline works well with solidly black hair/eyebrows? I have black hair with natural brown undertones to it. Although my hair is a very warm black, it can't be mistaken for dark brown. I ordered the fluidline from Nordstrom anyway since I'm interested in trying out a creamy brow product rather than pencil or powder. If it doesn't work I'll return it, but I just wanted to ask if people with black hair like the way DDB looks on their brows. Thanks!

I felt like it was a little light, but not in a bad way, more in a fashion way. I'm not 100% used to that sort of look, but it's definitely a bit softer than using a darker color…just not exactly what I'd call 100% natural, based on what I've been used to for decades heh.

I'm getting one, just because I don't want to be stuck in the comfort zone with makeup, but I'm not going to back it up, in hopes they bring these back again with a fuller color range. The product itself is excellent!

Hey Liba, thanks for the help! It sounds like something that might take a little while for me to get used to, but I like the idea of experimenting with lighter brows. I look forward to trying it out, and I'll let you know if I like it!

Leaving Nordies. Just got the last DDB fluidline, a 208 brush and new studio fix powder in NW 58 for my sis. I thought the Deep Brunette pencil would work for me but it was too taupish looking swatched. I will stick with my Anastasia brow pencil in Brunette which is more of a blackish brown and works well for me. $66.34 after my no buy till AG is saying a lot about my willpower

What about the Deep Dark Brunette pencil? Did you get a chance to swatch that one?

I didn't try them all as I kinda figured out what would and wouldn't work for me prior to getting there. I was in Miami at Adventura Mall and the MUA at Nordies told me that they were sold out at the Mac store upstairs. I was just getting back from Boca Raton and was tired and hurried with all the long driving

Kinda OT, but...
if a gel eye liner gets too dry, would a drop or 2 of glycerine be good to use to try to get the old consistency back?

Probably someone here on Speckta would be happy to buy it from you.

I'm not the one because i bought Dirty Blonde Fluidline already and i doubt i'll use it up soon.

I wouldnt recommend doing it for any product, ever, but, as it's not being applied on the eye, I'd say you'd be ok (definitely don't do this with a normal fluidline!). I'd recommend doing a small bit at a time in a sample jar, rather than the whole jar at once.

my hair is a warm black (you can only see the brown when intense light shines through it) but my brows look super black. DDB reads very natural - much more natural than the darker brown brow powder i was using from illamasqua (thunder). i also picked up the clear brow grooming gel - i found that it darkened up the 'brown' just a smidge when i applied it after the brow fluidline...just enough to make it look quite black....here's a pic where i have both on my brows. i hope it helps!

Hey all - I wound up picking my things up today. I opted for Deep Dark Brunette for the f/l but then went for Brunette in the pencil to mix things up. DDB is much warmer looking on me than the Brunette pencil, which is much cooler. This way I can get a few different effects.

So far I feel better using Brunette pencil just at the lower edge to define, then using the brush to brush it up into the hairs, and then for a sharper look, adding DDB to define inside and for the arch - that minimizes the warm tone.

I've been used to using the Penultimate Brow marker, which sets into a rather cool dark color on me, so the combo of Brunette pencil and DDB f/l gives me something like what I'm used to; or I can use them separately for other looks.

I'm still going to be using my usual Dark Diversion in the brows too, but it doesn't last anywhere near as long as the brow f/l formula.

Picked up deep dark brunette today and I have to say I'm in love with this product! I hope the gel cremes become permanent :/

Hi all! New poster here. I've been loving the Dirty blonde brow fluidline. It's quickly become a HG product. The color is perfect for my light golden brown hair. I really really hope MAC makes these permanent because I think they are amazing.

I completely agree! It's a shame that it has become so popular. I especially hate it when girls use a concealer that is much too light for them. I can't wait for this trend along with excessive countouring and unflattering Nicki Minaj'esque lip colors to be over with!
DID SOMEBODY SAY KONTOUR

Thanks! You look awesome, and it looks like DDB works with your general coloring very well. This is really helpful because it looks like your hair color is almost if not exactly the same as mine. And maybe your skin tone, too? I'm NC40/42, and I was worried that I'd walk around with busted brows because they don't match my hair/overall skin tone well haha.

And why can't you wear black lipliner and think ya look cute!? As long as the rest of your makeup is tailored to the black lip liner (no chola lips honey!), wear it and work it! AND look cute! It's the trend right now anyway

omg erine u are killllllin meeeee!!!! n that halo rendition omgggg!!

umm yea i used to feel the same way about black lip liners becuz i had that terrible gawd awful vision of hatchetface from cry baby n my head

NOPE!! she doesnt have black liner but those spanish fly's back n the day used too and while we on the subject of brows..i prefer the natural look too even if "carved" w/ LESS concealer. i dont do the top becuz i dnt want my brows too look like a "cut-copy-paste" on my face! my first brow pencil was Anastasia's brow wiz that changed my life...i've been usin it every since becuz its like magic!! i also have mac stud n spiked but when my hair is colored i use cork lip liner:

Yea ok! I see the halo! Lol I have Two different concealers, NW 35 to hiligh tunder brow and NC 45 for the top if I choose to use it there usually I don't do the top because I'm trying to save time but I have uaed it there so I will be careful to blend nicely. Ha! I'm going save the black lip liner for those who know what their doing. I've got to work in these brows first. I do want that gel creme (f/l). That's gonna take tons of practice- though I hope not
oh crap i forgot to finish my comment bout the black liner
hmm.gif
oooh yea i was scared of black liner cuz of how the spanish fly chica's wore them back n the day but now since i venture out n get creative i'll do a black liner not heavy...to contour my lips for a red lipstick or to darken a purple lip i.e. mac yung rapunxel or heroine to give me a vampy lip!
