Mac Pro Palettes discussion

They are sold out everywhere. One of the MAs at pro told me that inventory took place recently and we will have to wait until that's all squared away for them to release anymore for sale. All of my shadows and are in a plastic ziplock bags, face up, by how I want to arrange them when I finally get new palettes. They need a home ASAP

Oh man i would be so scared to put them in a Bag. Im so clumsy that i cant trust myself lol. But they really need to release them quick. Did she say if the double palettes were going to be released this time?

I still haven't gotten any.

I haven't really been buying much make-up at all actually. I got 2 lipsticks from Apres Chic and that's been it. I honestly haven't even been following any collections either. I think I'm just bored of everything at the moment.

I really do need to start getting some palettes though, it's all just too much to handle having all my single eye shadows in a basket and constantly rummaging through it to find colours. Thankfully, at least looking at them I know what it is so I'm not constantly looking for a name in it all. Pretty bad when you've all your eye shadows memorised by the look of them.

I ended up purchasing one with the 12 well insert for depotting cream foundations, like dustyohunter on youtube. I like the design, but it doesn't fit into my DVD racks that I put all my palettes into. Even though they are thicker than the old palettes, the reason they don't fit is the length. Since that is my main way of organization for these, thumbs down.
I don't think I'll purchase any more unless my current ones break down, but I was able to purchase 5 BUs of the old style from a lovely member so I'll be set for a while.

Thanks. That's right, no clear top. I'll pass. The allure for me of the redesign is the clear top and I'm not 100% on the magents on my depotted colors will be strong enough to hold the shadows being upside down without an insert.

Somehow, I thought it would be double decker like the Trish McEvoy ones with a clear top. I would still consider getting it though.

I have been postponing getting any of these b/c I don't want to give up my old palettes. And the lack of stock makes me wonder if MAC has underestimated the number of hoarders out there (self included) that need multiples! I like the clear lids, but until I hear I can get enough palettes and inserts, I am not about to do an overhaul. Now, shuffling around the colors I have in the palettes I have, that's another story...

I plan on using the double for my lip palette for my pro kit. I've got two 24 wells full of lipsticks, and the double will be more convenient.

It helps that in all honesty I can't afford to be hauling but usually if I want some things I stretch things elsewhere to cover for it. But lately I just haven't found anything appealing. I had £30 worth of free points and it took me two trips to use them. In the end I ended up with UD XL De-Slick spray and UD Optical Blurring Brush. That's how desperate I was to spend them even though I didn't know what to get, lol.

after waiting for so long i have finally decided not to get the double. I have so much neutral shadows that i dont use that i plan on selling a couple and that should just narrow it down enough to fit them into a single palette without an insert

anyone have any tips on organisation of the palettes, also any tips on labelling now that the lids are clear.
