MAC Mineralize Rich Lipstick Collection (March 2013)

I was surprised to see these in store when I went for a tech class recently in Australia and purchased a Grande Dame

I was able to get some swatches when I was in store, I was actually impressed with this product and how it felt on the lips. Not drying at all and nice and creamy on the lips. I dont normally go for this kind of product but I am glad that I picked up at least one lipstick to wear and review.

Grand dame won't be available here in Italy/europe U.U and I like this one more uff

Thank you all for the lovely swatches. I agree that none of the colors are particularly unique which then leads to my wondering if there is a real improvement or skin care characteristic to the product to make it worth the price hike? The point about there being extra product makes sense, but coming from a self-confessed lipstick slut who has never used up an entire tube because I am rotating colors endlessly, it isn't really a good selling point for me. And, I am willing to admit that I may be a fuddy duddy in this department, but I suppose I am rather attached to the old (phallic) bullet tube so I believe it will be a pass for me unless someone reviews this product and writes of the miraculous moisturizing properties on the lips.

The colors are quite lovely though and perfect for Spring.

The colors in this collection are super gorgeous. I also like the packaging of the Mineralize Rich lipsticks. (I think its different.. lol) I'm not a MAC noob by any means.. haha. These colors are right up my alley!

I agree with you @13maggieann. I love lipsticks but some are hard for me to pull off because my lips are very pigmented. But, I always adore nudes & pinks

It's Smashbox's legendary ls in Love Me. Its a beautiful very strawberry wearable red. The texture is moisturizing silky smooth & color payoff is divine! And, its still different from other reds. Plus I got the new Halo blush in In Bloom which is a gorgeous gorgeous pink slight pale strawberry color. Beautiful paired up with Love Me ls. I also got the Halo blush in Warm Glow a pinky nude but it hasn't arrived yet. I just noticed that both blushes are sold out. They give a blush from within that is so pretty on the skin.

Smashbox really knows how to do wearable colors. You can watch the video on QVC to see the blush colors....but they all sold out.

I was stunned at the price, I went and spoke to Mac yesterday and while they thought at first it was high... other high end brands are for the same price so they dont think its much of a deal... the lipstick is lovely... I just wish it wasnt so $$$$ and I would like more!

I really like the formula of these - I find them super creamy and moisturizing. However, I also dropped my Lush Life on the bathroom counter and ended smooshing it because of how creamy they are! Made me sad
