C: I noticed that my discount wasn't applied to my Hayley Williams items in my cart, just to the Extra Dimension stuff. Can you explain?

Dianna: The Hayley Williams items are not eligible for MAC PRO discount, with the exception of the Mineralize Skinfinish.
Dianna: Is there anything else I may assist you with today while we are chatting?
C: Interesting. Is there any information as to why? I know normally special packaging, etc. is usually why there's no discount available for some things. However, there is no special packaging with this release so I'm puzzled. Thanks!
Dianna: Special packaging and/or very limited edition special releases also (like this one). For more information, contact Customer Service (1-800-387-6707).
C: Got it! I didn't realize it was considered extremely limited. Oh well. Any word on when all the Extra Dimension skinfinishes will be available. Two are still showing as "coming soon" on pro. Thanks!

What gets me is that Azaelia Banks was extremely limited, with a one day release and the discount applied. Yet this is essentially the same thing but it doesn't apply? Weird....

you know can I atleast get free shipping lol. Yes that's weird that th AB lipstick had pro discount and this one doesn't. I guess no pro discount on Rihanna too? God I hope not lol.

Well, I ended up just buying Daydreaming. I would have bought the lipstick also, but since there was no Pro discount on this collection, I decided to pass. MAC should realize that getting a little too greedy with no Pro discount on certain items will cost them in the end. I bet quite a few of you would have ordered more had they applied their usual Pro discount to this collection. Oh, well, I get to keep more money in my pocket!

I love my pro discount as much as the next.. but I'm not going to get too upset about a small collection like this. We've gotten our discount on some nice collections when we didn't expect it, like Marilyn Monroe & Archie's Girls. As long as they withhold on a tiny collection like this I'll survive lol!

Greed is an ugly word to me. I am an optimist and prefer to think that they have a very good reason why this had to happen. (don't burst my happy bubble people)

It doesn't, I don't believe. Just got off the phone w a rep and insisted she ask a supervisor. She said the PRO email states that only some items are applicable for the pro discount. (Shellcat confirmed this email.) Apparently, that item is only Lightscapade. A memo had gone out to the reps to let them know the other items do not qualify, probably due to the confusion caused by PROs calling to inquire. Some PROs had been credited earlier when there was still a lot of confusion.
My rep did tell me if they reverse the memo and the PRO discount becomes applicable, she will credit my account...

Wow that's crazy and I just looked at my email and it does say that selected items are applicable for the discount.

That's true I was so shocked that the accessories in Archies girls had pro discount as well.

My order shipped a couple of hours ago. I guess I'll have it by Thursday since I chose 2nd day. BTW, I bought Lady Danger and Redd lipliner. Love them both. Reminds me a lot of the red YSL matte lipstick, which I own and love. I don't care, though. With all the makeup I own, I'm bound to repeat myself.

Maybe thats why its not sold out cause there was no PRO DISCOUNT. I think its stupid I should at least receive free shipping. In the future I wish there is better communication about whether we are going to get PRO DISCOUNT or not....

So, I called the customer service number and explained that although I could accept paying full price like everyone else does, I wondered if there was a way to also get free shipping like everyone else does for this particular release. I was offered a one-time courtesy shipping waiver which I promptly accepted!

FTR, I don't feel entitled to the discount if it's not an option, I am just confused by the various ways they determine what is eligible vs what isn't.

I also think they are likely to pull this on the RiRi Woo release, especially since it's special packaging, although Hayley's isn't. We'll see....

:agree: They need to be consistent in their determination. They can't say that because it's such a small/limited collection, there's no discount, but then offer the discount on the AB collection, which was a single item, online-only collection. That seems pretty limited to me. :dunno: Just another in the long line of confusions.
