Repeatedly on these boards people reproduce conversations with MAC reps/customer service, and those phone reps are almost always wrong. I trust my fellow Specktralites much more.

IMO, the finish of the eyeshadow makes a big difference. A matte red would give you this sickly look but a shimmery one may not.

If it does well, which I'm sure it will, we'll see these colors come back again. We'll definitely see some beautiful deep metallic frosts for fall and holiday too, so I can wait. I'm getting to the point where an opportunity to skip a collection feels a little more like a relief than a nagging suspicion I'm missing out on something. I'm sure everything from this collection is going to be beautiful, though! I'm preparing my skipper's remorse hat!

yea, I think I'm going to agree. As beautiful as these seem, the hassle is not worth it. and the bolded part is SPOT ON! I need a break.


Plus, my mother just told me I left a plum fun lipglass in her car. I had no idea it was missing, I was unsure of what it was, and just had to look it up online to see the color and the collex it came from. Now since it is a fall color, I can't even tell you when I dropped it. LOL That's a clear sign.

I am sort of intrigued by some of the metallic eye shadows, but I just have this nagging feeling about how this is going to look on my NC37 skin. I have hazel eyes, so I love purple eye shadows. I have to be very careful in my selection, otherwise people tell me I look tired. There's a very fine line between smoldering and tired-looking eyes. Do any of you have that same issue/concern?

Black eyeliner really makes all the difference when I wear reddish eyeshadows. Without it they look pretty rotten on me, but with that nice black border it really makes my hazel eyes look amazing! I also make sure to use a nice light shimmery inner eye color to make sure it doesn't get too 'sunken in' and dark :) HTH!

Me too!!! So surprised that this collection havent been getting a lot of feed back or swatches. Really hope some surface soon, or Im just gonna have to roll the dice and buy what I think I would like...

I hear ya, my list isn't finalized yet.

I know I want all the metallic e/s and l/s. The nudes, probably just the two darkest shades in both e/s and l/s. As far as the blushes go, think I want the darker shade. I wish there were more swatches out there.

I called again yesterday at my pro store. While they are now aware of the collection I was told it was not yet in the store. I have a young lady there working with me and have my contact info. She was very excited about lipsticks. I am still uncertain about the driving there Thur versus just ordering the 3 metallic es I am sure about (red, berry, purple) . In person I may find more items that work for me although a self imposed restriction cannot hurt. I am so ambivalent but I kno I will be getting a few items someway somehow

Funny you should mention that, I just checked the site. There is nothing there yet. As it stands right now, I am planning on purchasing the metallic e/s (still on the fence on the brown one), maybe the metallic lips and the metallic blush.

What are you guys getting?
