Crap don't tell me that about FMP, trying to skip Lol  I Actually busted out my Heroine finally, put a light application with a lip brush, love it. Think I can skip FMP and enjoy my Heroine, Seductive Intent, Playtime, and Style Curve :nods: I love them all to pieces
You are are good with style curve, that's why I got fmp, since my sc was stolen. Still tempted by the quads.. :)

As i've mentioned, i am skin tone 15-20 Neutral and NOT really a bronzer user. But i HAVE to get one of the TR Bronzers JUST to get the compact (Thanks to Erine for suggestions as to what other powders will fit). Even so, i would like to get something i might use once in a while, at least.

So i have some questions:

1. Are the compacts for the "Bronzing Powder" and "Pro Longwear Bronzer" the same or different?
If different, what are the differences?

2. What are the significant differences, if any, between "Bronzing Powder" and "Pro Longwear Bronzer", other than $5US?
I mean: texture, feel, use, wear, etc. I've already noticed that the BPs in this collection have shimmer. And i think the PLwBs are matte. Any other differences?

Thanks!

I haven't seen these yet but Temptalia's reviews say that the PLW ones are better. She said had trouble with the regular ones.

They show up easily, blend like a dream and can create a natural effect imo, if using the right shade. They work like a charm with the 167SH. I have 2 from HS. Gotta love that brush... I also have soft sand from HS which is pretty too, but needs to be build up more imo. It's a bit stiffer too. The plw's are nice and buttery...

I also wanted to ask you all your thoughts about Altered Beige. I'm NC43 and I've always wanted to try a nude lippie. Would you guys recommend this shade or have any other recommendations from the permanent range? TIA

I am a new member as well. I love this site because you can see swatches and get a review on a product before you buy it or even see if it is worth the money. I am also getting FMP lipstick ( i am just in love with purple lippies right now). Ripe for love powder blush and I think that will be it for this collection. I might change my mind but as of right now this is my list. I am a NW43 and altered beige does look nice but it reminds me of siss or creme d' nude because I know i will have to use a brown liner with it but it is really pretty.

no, no, no, no, no--I want to skip! Wonder if I layered Gleeful over Modern Mandarin I can get same effect? Its futile, I think I can't skip. TY for doing all those swatches, though, that is truly dedication. And, I may add, an impressive peach/coral/mandarin blush collection you have.***************************************************************************************************ANYone else thinking FMP looks like UTA??? I am looking for antienabling here...
Nope. Not close at all.

The PLW bronzers are te same buttery texture as the careblend powders, theyre matte, and are "supposed" to wear longer, but they dont. And yes, the compacts are the same.

So the PLW Bronzers are more matte than the Careblend Bronzers from Surf Baby?

i don't mean to be facetious, but i think someone said earlier in the thread that "bronzer is bronzer is bronzer".... :)

i might skip this collection in the end.

i feel like the peach blush is maybe not EXACTLY a colour i have, but i do have a bunch of peach/coral blushes. the only thing i REALLY want is the pencils, but they're so expensive anyway i wonder if that's crazy to buy them.

and the lipstick look soooo beautfiul, but do i really need it?

maybe i need to to think it over again....

I tried that in the Art of the Eye collection... Nothin' for me. Nope. Unh-uh. No, no, no. And then i ended up with three eyeshadows arriving next week. Plus i got four beautiful eyeshadows from someone's de-stash. Sigh.

I have such a weakness for eye shadows and lipsticks... and i'm developing a weakness for Skinfinishes and Pearlmattes. Darn you, Specktra MAC!

Guess I can 'rest my case' now that the evidence is in (your DNA all over TR) and you've pretty much confessed

Still undecided about the quads. I'm thinking maybe I'll only get one. I don't have anything like the colors of the TR quad so I'm leaning towards that one BUT everyone is saying how awesome the BMS quad is, but its another neutral quad. Which I have plenty of. Idk when in rio is calling my name though. What to do??

I think actually this year I'm going to go much lighter on the Mineralize collection than usual, in favor of more from this one. Usually I want every lipstick and cremesheen in the Mineralize collection and this year there are repromotes I have or just colors I've got plenty of other options for. The MES are going to be very similar to MES I already have, though I might get pulled in if they're yet another improved formula. I'll probably mostly buy MBs this time, is my guess.

Usually I'm restrained with the standard summer collection and all out on the Mineralize one, but yep….not this year.

GOOD NEWS: I get to go check out the collection Friday, so I'll make sure to blab on and on about it!!!

Ripe Peach (coral side) and My Paradise are the closest, Ripe Peach is a bit lighter maybe just a little pinker, My Paradise is a tiny bit more red/orange. Modern Manderin is a bit lighter and a bit more orange. Gleeful is kinda like a darker version of RFL. The rest doesn't look anything like RFL.
Thank you for the swatches! They look gorgeous! You have a lovely collection!
I have Ripe Peach, My Paradise, and Marine Life. Should I still get Ripe for Love?
cutey.gif

I'm expecting a small haul. I can skip this collection, but I may get Ripe for Love blush and Feel My Pulse l/s (maybe) for the packaging.
