OK, i know this has come up before, but i confess i wasn't paying complete attention...

I would like to preserve the beauty of the bronze Temperature Rising compact, but take the bronzer out. How can i do this and cause little or no damage to the case. I'd like to keep the bronzer but i care less about it.

I've never depotted anything before. Thanks for any pointers.

I watched a you tube video where this girl used a bobby pin and slid it between the case and the plastic part of the pan in the front. This allows you to swap say a MSF and a bronzer or beauty powder. Hope that helps. I love putting my MSFN in LE Mac containers.

Yep, you can pop out the pan in the plastic insert, and then put in another one that's to same size :)

I posted a link to a yt vid awhile ago, i think in this thread even. Ok, not the one i posted earlier, but same idea. And a spatula works much easier than a bobby pin. http://youtu.be/yAYfPOg2sa4

Thanks! The video was helpful. I'd heard people describe the process but seeing it in real time was good. I wasn't sure where one was inserting the bobby pin/spatula and i worried about cracking the case or breaking the pressed powder.

Now i have to decide - am i going to switch my Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Light Plus or my Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder into the TR case...

Does this help better?

Stick the spatula in right under the lip.

Keeping the spatula parallel with the table (dont twist), carefully slide the spatula over to the 3 oclock position til it pops out. Voila!

That's good advice! I think that way looks better, because when I used bobby pin, it caused a little damage to the TR bronzer compact since it's softer than normal packaging.

I normally use liquid foundation.

If I'm using a combination of cream and powder products, I usually apply all cream products first, followed by the powder products.
that makes sense.

I'm not having any luck with the quads. They just don't show up on me. :/

Are you using any eye primer or base at all? What type of brush are you using? I've found using a brush like the 239 or 242 picks up and packs on the color well. I can get the colors from the BMS quad to show up on me (NC50).

Yeah PP, with the BMS quad I always use a primer: either NARS or a Paint Pot. I'm sure you're doing that, too. Then I use the 239 brush to pack the heck out of it. I thought I was putting on too much, but like you I think I had a hard time getting Romantico and Bare My Soul to show up to my liking. Remember when I was saying I thought the colors looked all muddied together? Part of it is b/c it just didn't seem to show up that well to me. When I think about it, now I get why you were saying it didn't show up. We're twins so it should show up the same on you.

This way you won't have to worry about over doing it, and the blush ends up looking more from within.

I'm jumping on this wagon too. I've never been comfortable with cream blush, and I have quite a few MAC cream blushes----also just ordered two
Chanel creme blushes and I will definitely try this approach. Thanks Erine!!!

I bought one and can't wait to play with it. MissTT made me buy it.
I did my makeup today and put all my cream products on first and then put careblend powder over it. I think this is what I'll be doing on these hot as hell Summer days.

Chile you a lie! Okay maybe I encouraged a little. I should have bought it, too, but I'm a little torn about not buying from my regular SA. She always does right by me. What brush are you using for Presage?

Oh I can understand that... I think I need to make friends with the girl we met. I don't have a Chanel SA.
I am going to use the MAC 130 or 128... I'm going to start playing with that stuff this week. LOL

Not sure if someone else has posted this but looks like Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Beach is very similar to Underdressed (I swatched the Bobbi Brown lip gloss today on a whim). So if anyone missed out on Underdressed you can try out Beach as an alternative.

I feel like I need an occasional Chanel SA too which is why I'm thinking of calling Dominique. Plus she promised Chanel goodies, something my SA can't get her hands on. My SA, Melinda, is a boss about getting stuff though. She threatened to report other SAs to management if I didn't get my Marilyn lippies. Then she went in on her day off and got them for me. You see why I'm loyal to her? Sometimes I feel bad shopping online, but I get things so much faster than I do from her in Portland.
