MAC So Supreme Collection (August 1, 2013)

It looks totally different than that on my lips - on me, it looks like what I wanted Tart & Trendy to look like, but never quite would except when the lighting was just right. Meanwhile Sweet Grenadine is just a fabulous, soft but bright, girly orange with some subtle pink undertones. It doesn't even remotely look sheer on me either and I have red lips!

At this point, there's pretty much nothing I won't get when you rave about it like you do! Deeply Dashing pressed pigment AND this lippie ended up in my cart during my Pressed Pigment haul yesterday! You naughty naughty vixen! HeeHee

We've got a little different skin tone - I think I'm much more sallow than you, Gorgeous! Plus, you know how I like to be the anti-enabler as much as possible. But yeah, when I really rave about something, I am definitely feeling much much love for it, not just a momentary crush!

I think I might need Candy Apple and Sweet Grenadine! LOL!

Woah, a lot of these look drastically different on her than they did on me. Candy Apple I can't even recognize, it looked that different on me. On me it was like Offshoot combined with Fire Sign or Apres Chic, not even remotely like her lip swatch. Pleasurefruit looked pretty different on me too - if it had looked like her photos, I'd have snagged it. Same for Candy Apple!!

Her Prêt-A-Pretty looks just like it did on me, including the finish. Sweet Grenadine is pretty close, although I'll have to say I think it looks better on me than in her photos, with more of a subtle pink just barely in the undertone. Playtime on me was MUCH brighter - like CYY or PiPi bright.

Normally her swatches are perfectly acceptable to me, but this batch just didn't photograph that well - all I can guess is the bright studio lights she uses flattened out the colors a bit, since they definitely have depth to them from the SS finish.

Hmm, Temptalia had a lot of feathering from these too. I wonder how I managed to escape it, especially since really pigmented Lipglasses do feather on me pretty overtly. I was blotting mine down with a tissue right after I applied them, though, because I love the stain effect - that didn't feather either, though, and you'd think it would over time. I've recently switched to Clarins new Double Serum formula and it's been working really well on my skin, especially with smoothing my skin texture, so maybe my upper lip is in better shape than it has been in the past?

Candy Apple looks great on you! It's amazing how different it looks on everyone so far. Thanks for posting your swatches!!

I do take into consideration our different skintones, but I know when you REALLY go crazy for something, it's worth a SERIOUS look! I love that you are so descriptive and honest. And I can usually manage to make something work on me if it's THAT fabulous to begin with! I will definitely let you know how I feel about my new goodies SOON! Thanks for all your useful info and help doll!

Checked this out today! Ended up with Pleasurefruit - my first choice - after first purchasing Blushing Berry and a later bout of buyer's/skipper's remorse.

I am not impressed with the gloss. Blushing Berry, while pinkish on my hand, was much sheerer and redder on my lips. I had trouble with it from the start - patchy, feathery, generally uneven - and after the initial gloss feeling wore off about 20 minutes later it felt rather tacky. Not as tacky as original lipglass, but it definitely didn't have the plush, velvety feel of cremesheen glasses. No regrets over swapping Blushing Berry for Pleasurefruit. More confirmation I should stick to my gut instincts!

I got an email for free 2nd day ship as well but when I visited the store, they had it on the counter. I saw one of the MUA applying a pink one on a customer and I was annoyed at how many times she had to click the gloss to get product in the brush part. Then it looked like a mess to apply...I just walked on by the display.
