SS is pretty too but I agree with OctoberViolet....I would have wanted it to be an even more dark purple.
But I will get it anyway!

I used to feel that way, too, with my hooded eyes.
Then I discovered, via youtube tutorials for hooded eyes and monolid eyes, just how to use a number of techniques to enhance the beauty of my frankly stunning green eyes.

You're lucky! I've watched some tutorials about hooded eyes but it always seems to be the same thing that doesn't seem to make much of a difference for me

I think this indicates it isn't very pigmented on its own, so its a skip for me. It pretty much looks like whatever liner is underneath it

My black e/s are just not getting enough love. I have Dark Dare, Jet Couture and Blacklit. I plan to get Beluga but I really need to start inco-operating blacks in my looks. I used Blacklit today as a base e/s with my fingers then applied Star Violet over it. The look was nice but I really need to learn how to work the darks in my outer v.

Yes, this fall the black shadows can get a good work out as a base under these jewel tones or on top for a darkening effect. Mine have not been getting love either, but come Fall and Winter, I want to give them a work out! How do you ladies like Jet Couture, I didn't get that one...

I have those three, too, and they're so good, they're making me a little careful about Beluga - if it's not as good as those three or too similar, I am going to skip it. I kind of can't even imagine it could top Dark Dare or be as smooth and sparkly as Blacklit, but it's nice to hope

I like using my 219 pencil brush to do careful detail work in the corners or crease when I'm using black - gives maximum control, then I can always go in with a different fluffier brush to blend if I want to soften it - the hard black line in the crease is becoming a popular edgy look now, though - all that 60's eye makeup - so no blending is even necessary, to go for that.

Mostly with black, I tend to use it all over the lid, just because I don't have tons of eyelid real estate, but I've definitely been moving towards a sharply defined crease. I just have to keep reminding myself to do a crease like that is for making an eye look that you yourself can't really see the cool effect it gives - it's for other people to see when you blink.

So helpful, Liba! TY. I don't think I have the 219 brush tho . Will check and possibly think about getting one. Beluga may be unique in that it seems to be tinged with some gold flecks

Just looked at a pic of the 219 and yes I have it! I had bought it last year to use for highlighting the inner eye areas as well as lining purposes with e/s. Will definitely try it with your method, Liba. I have the tools just need to work on the technique.

Oh good you have it. I was just going to say (for anyone else), it usually comes in those brush kits they have for nordies sale and holiday collections. So I have a 219 SE.
