MAC Indulge Collection (August 22, 2013)

Review on 2 polishes (Magnificent Feast and Sinfully Sweet) on temptalia.com:

I plan on picking up:
--- over-indulge - sparkling gunmetal with gold pearl pigments
--- magnificent feast - sparkling true gold
--- sinfully sweet - sparkling champagne with gold pearl pigments

I've got other gold n/p's, but, oddly, i wear gold nail polish more often than any other color - it goes with our Balinese musical instruments - they're painted gold, red, and cobalt blue. I don't wear red, and while i like cobalt blue, i rarely wear blue clothing or accessories. So i do my nails gold for performances - and we're barefoot, so i do my toe nails, too.

The highlight of the collection for me. Getting all except Ultimate Dish.

OMG! I think i have to get Lust for Life when i hit my local MAC! I like Liqueur, too, it's nice and bronze-y, but LFL is grabbing me harder.

I'd think twice about the polishes - they're nice but really not so unique. Orly Megapixel Rose and Plum are both more interesting options than Sinfully Sweet. China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets and Goldie But Goodie are very excellent replacements for Over-Indulge and Magnificent Feast and just a little more interesting overall, plus cheaper!

I'm all for MAC polishes when they're super unique - Immortal Gold from Posh Paradise is one of my favorite golds and I get compliments on it all the time. If Magnificent Feast had been a little more like it, I would have been all over it - I just found the color a little washed out comparatively.

I agree. JAB is a beautiful rich red. I love it. Glad I bought this one even though it wasn't initially on my list! Edit: and I love Divine Decadence. So pretty.

OMG! I think i have to get Lust for Life when i hit my local MAC! I like Liqueur, too, it's nice and bronze-y, but LFL is grabbing me harder.

Don't worry, Liqueur is spectacular! LfL and UT are drop dead gorgeous too, though - I never thought I'd be so smitten with them, but I'm getting them both. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say if you want to pick the single most standout lip product in the whole collection, Lust for Life is the one. Feed the Senses and all of the rest of the lipsticks are really pretty, but LfL is just traffic stopping brilliant (and I'm not usually a big standard Lipglass gal).

Maybe I need DD?

It's very attractive but you may find it a bit on the warm side, to be honest. If you bought the metallic VPs from Nudes & Metallics, DD is on par with them - I'm going to stick with my Deep Fixation, although DD is very tempting and warm enough for my coloring. It looks like warm caramel brown on me, but it just might pull a little yellow or orange on you.

I'm afraid I won't be able to get my goodies until this weekend. Even if my Macys card (meaning my discount) were to arrive before Thursday, I have an extras gig Thursday AND Friday. If I have to risk some of what I want being sold out by the time I can make it to the counter, so be it. I really enjoy working on TV shows when I can.

Temptalia's swatches made me order three things from Nordstroms this morning. I got Eat, Love and and Deep Cravings eyeshadow and Just a Bite lipstick. I really don't need another red lipstick, but that's the story of my life so what the hell? Eat, Love looks so awesome. I had no idea it would be that pretty and Deep Cravings is a color I need more of. I thought about Fashion Punch and Lust for Life, but they're similar to Chanel glosses I own. I also ordered Uninterrupted pro long shadow which I have wanted forever. I always forget about it.

Might that be Fake It Til You Make It? That's going on my wish-list. My nails were looking good, then i went on my trip and and between harsh soaps in Rest Areas, and alcohol sanitizer in the porta-potties we used for two weeks, my nails took a beating. I've been good to them since i got back and they're recovering.

I remember you said that before and that made me google it. I need it in my life. It looks better than my beloved Outre. Do you think it is?

It's similar to Outre, but doesnt have that bit of green cast that outre does. I'd say it looks like a deep dijon mustard colour, my favourite colour in the world!

Thank you! Red lips are perfect for date night with the hubby. I like the texture and pigmentation of DD. It works for me.
