I went back today to pick up some more items. I forgot my empties last time so I thought I'd bring them end. I haven't B2M in years because I'm always in a rush to get the new items and just say "next time." Wednesday night I got 6 together but forgot them again. I went back and read the B2M page to find out the policies. I knew you could B2M for more than lipstick and the stores but I didn't know what exactly. I decided to get some stuff together last night. I decided to leave out the eyeshadow pots that I had depotted as many people had problems with them before. I just really didn't want to deal. I had bought some empty eyeshadow pans to put in them but many did not fit because the pot was all warped. I did manage to get on in but it only stayed if the pot was closed. Anyway, I ended up putting a lot in the bag. As I was deciding I ended up trying a lot stuff on again. The lipsticks I was B2Ming looked a lot like the stuff that is coming out now. I had quite a few deep red/berries. Oceanberry -old but hadn't turned. It looked good. I used to hate this color but now I liked it. Ruby Darling -deep red. Another deep plum/berry color but the label was gone and don't remember what it was. Golden Rule- anyone remember that one? I used to buy a lot of metallics - they are coming back I see. Anyway, the really interesting one was Bask- I always thought it was just too dark - it was a dark brown metallic with gold frost to it. Another one I never really wore but now it looks so interesting. I think they should bring this one back because it reminded me so much of that Black Frost lipstick that everyone was GaGa for (Firm Form???) except that it was dark brown with a gold shimmer.
Okay back on topic. Even though I read that they are supposed to take the wipes container, they wouldn't. I ended up having only 22 items. They did have a 24 item limit. So I ended up purchasing 2 lipsticks (even though I told myself, I would just wait and get more items from home (I have tons) but I can't wait for anything. I B2M for 3 eyeshadows.
My 2nd Haul:
- Sweet Succulence l/s
- By Design l/s
- Deep Cravings e/s
- Palace Pedigreed e/s
- Eat Pray Love e/s
They were sold out of Utterly Tart l/g. I was iffy on that one anyway. But I really liked it when I swatched it in the store so I may have to hunt that one down. I wasn't planning on getting Palace Pedigreed but it did look a bit more pigmented than the one I have and the SA was wearing it along with Eat Pray. It swatched much greener on her than me. I think it may be because I used a brush and she used her hands. I'm always surprised when the MAs/SAs do this. She told me I could use my hands but I refused.
BTW - I went in Sephora and a lady was asking me how to try the lipsticks. "You mean you just put it on your mouth?" I said well you can wipe it with alcohol. She said no way. She was quite loud and asked the SA who told her I was right. She said she didn't want to. I told her I don't really do it either that much. I just wipe it on my hand and hope for the best. I don't know it was just funny.
baffled, loved it but could not identify it because i gave DD a new dimension with Let It Pop paintpot as a base
Thank you Debbs! I got 2 compliments on your look today. I wore Let it Pop PP as a base from lashline to slightly above crease with Divine Decadence on top of the lid. I used Uninterrupted as a transition shade and Bare Minimum to highlight. I used a black liquid liner on the top lashline -Lancome Artliner. Deliciously Rich above the black liner. I'm really bad at doing 2 liners. Some was on above the black and some of it was on the black. I liked it but I think it would have popped more if I didn't have the sparkly Let it Pop on my lids. Blush - I tried my new Guerlain Madam Rougit today (just the peachy coral part) and Adored MSP as a highlighter (This might be my highlighter of the year! or at leas the summer). YSL 102 Glossy Stain Coral Mutin. The Mac SA complimented everything but was especially interested in the cheeks. I admitted I didn't have the Mac blush on but I did have the highlighter. She said she thought I might have had Divine Decadence on when I mentioned it but had a confused look on her face. She probably wondered how I got it so sparkly. The SA Sephora was particularly complimentary on my eyes. Any more tips? Keep 'em coming.
