MAC Retro Matte collection (September 12, 2013)

Can we make this a one time notification that this is completely normal, and that there is nothing wrong with the lipsticks, cuz i swear, if people start posting concearns or questions about what to do, or saying they're gonna return their lipsticks cuz they have white stuff on them, i swear I'm gonna flip my shit! I can't go thru this again!

Glad i skipped RH. It's looking very oranged-based.

It pulled sort of a medium terra cotta nude on me, even with my red lips, but I bet it would appear more overtly apricot on NW skin.

Seriously though, no need to return products with it on them. That's just a waste of product, especially when things are LE and people would happily have them.

Out of 20+ tubes of lippies i order from RiRi, i got 2 that had wax on them. I knew they were fine. Even if it wasn't discussed on here i knew all i had to do was pick it off and wipe it down with alcohol if i was that concerned. It's not hard.

But lip liners? I'm never good at pairing lip liners and lipsticks together (other than the ones Erine told me to do) so I never end up buying them.

Yeah I don't think I'd return the lipstick or anything because of the defect because well, it's for me rather than a gift for someone and I'm sure it would still look good once applied but there's just something about that brand new tube when I'm rolling it up looking all pretty and thang shiny and new that just just floats my boat you know what I mean?

oh I am SUPER NC15 - very sallow. It didn't look orange on me at all. It looked fantastic. It didn't even look like any of the AAO colors. Honestly, I can't think of another color I have I could compare it too. I'd say it was sort of like if you merged Mehr with Cozy Up to result in a beautiful soft, warm nude. It reminded me of a Tuscan villa or some antique face powder, or the like. It was honestly one of my top favorites of the whole collection.

I have Nightmoth liner, but I don't have Vino. So, naturally I ordered it from Nordstroms so I can wear it with Fixed on Drama. My ditzy ass chose in-store pickup, though so I'll have to swing by and get it one of these days.

What a perfect world it would be if one notification was good. More like 100 lol. I get why people may have initially been concerned but I think at this point it should be pretty clear that it's not harmful and your lipstick isn't defective. Unless you completely missed the RRH drama then you should be well versed in the situation at this point. If you're purchasing in store ask to view the lipstick before you buy it (if they allow that. I know some stores won't). That way you won't send another innocent lipstick to the makeup graveyard. *insert one of the depressing songs used on ASPCA commercials*
