What Richelle and Naomi said. HUGE RiRi fiasco. Your reaction to the wax was perfect, and i  you dearly for that  but as for the broken lipsticks, call then asap and get that shit taken care of. After the whole RiRi situation, this should not be happening again, and should've been handled the first time. Our responses aren't aimed at you at all hun, they're towards mac and their bullshit. I swear if my lippies arrive busted tomorrow, there's gonna be hell to pay!
:werd: It's too soon for me to have another RRB experience!

I think They're Real is as close as I've found to an HG mascara but it still isn't quite right. I don't layer any mascaras like I know a lot of people do because I find it just clumps on my lashes no matter how I do it. I just can't stand clumpy lashes. I do need to invest in a good eyelash curler at some point though, any suggestions?
A curler is a curler is a curler. It's all in the pad that matters, not the curler.
Ahh okay! So what kind of pads should I buy? I didn't know you could buy them individually.

Sorry, I was shaking my head at MAC, not you. It brings back bad memories of the RiRi drama. Fortunately, my RiRi lipsticks were intact... but it always makes me nervous when I hear about broken lipsticks.
No worries ... I'm a bit clueless sometimes (start of a new school year has fried my brain) and didn't pay alot of attention to the RiRi collection anytime before the mysterious restock so I didn't realize broken lippies were a huge issue. I remember seeing some references to a few but didn't think much of it at the time ...

Sorry for the flashbacks .. hopefully it is just a few of us :)

That is a great idea ... but am I going to have to ship these back?  If not I will go ahead and do that and swatch them ...
I doubt you will have to. I didn't have to send any of my damaged RRB's back and I actually offered to do so. Pretty sure they would have told you if you had to, but you could wait to be sure (or call to make sure)

I shipped back my damaged lipsticks to get a refund and they sent me replacements at no charge during the riripocolypse

You shouldn't have to send anything back. During RiRiGate some emailed MAC with pictures and received new lipsticks. Or you can call as well...just hope they won't be assholes about it.

I didn't have to send anything back and my replacements were sent at no charge also. Like I said, I offered to send them back but they told me that I didn't have to. They would be trashed anyway...plus they had a LOT of replacements to send out so I'm guessing they didn't want to deal with the hassle of the unusable items. I think if you are solely wanting a refund under normal circumstances (you changed your mind for example) you have to return the items. When in doubt, ask MAC.

I wanted a refund AND replacements, that is why I sent them back

Ahh okay!  So what kind of pads should I buy?  I didn't know you could buy them individually.
Rounded, not squared. But you need to make sure they'll fit in the curler. Mac doesn't sell replacement pads, but their pads are rounded. Some drugstore pads are square, so you can buy those, and just buy round replacement ones, if they'll fit.
OK good ... I was afraid for a minute there that I was about to get voted off the Erin island :D (for those that don't get the reference, I'm an Erin too) I called and with literally no argument they said they were shipping replacements.  Took less than two minutes.  I told her that I didn't need a replacement for Steady Going as it was still completely usable but she insisted on sending anyway so I am not going to argue! Nope, you can keep em! Smash em in a palette for at home use or kit use, and save the new tubes for your purse!

Oh hell. Not sure why they released it online so early anyways.
I wondered the same thing. I thought releases were only Thursdays online and then the following Thursday in store. I went in today and got to see swatches and they look so different in person than online. So my list has totally changed. But im glad she told me to be there tomorrow because I would be so upset if I missed it. But then again I would be real upset if I go up there tomorrow and no Retro Matte.

I was at the Mac counter today and was told that the date was pushed up to tomorrow! I'm so confused!!!!!
I was told it's still the 12th, that there has been no bump up, and that this has been confirmed due to online bloggers releasing incorrect information.

I told them I want a refund and if you get a second batch send me replacements but I refuse to pay another dime or waste another second for a chance to maybe get ones that aren't broken and waxy. I sent back the broken ones, got a refund, and a day later a black box of lipsticks arrived via overnight UPS. I guess my no bullshit personality worked in my favor that day.
