Temptalia changed her mind and reviewed the collection: http://www.temptalia.com/nars-x-guy-bourdin-color-collection-photos-swatches-commentary#more-141665 Btw, I'm really disappointed at Short Circuit cuz I hoped it's more coral like Niagara or MAC Force of love rather than Red-orange. :(
What's with all the eyeshadows from this collection coming broken? This is the second or third blogger I've seen w broken ones. I know eyeshadows and things break sometimes but I mean it seems pretty frequent w these. My list is still the 2 lipsticks, eyeshadow and blush. I really want to wear Cambodia shadow it looks so pretty!

Last Tango and Day Dream are on my list after temptalia's swatches. Even though I have fleur de lotus, and the one night stand palette will have deep throat, I just don't want to pass this up.

When will this collection hit sephora? Same time as nars.com?

So nervous about ordering these online after seeing all these shattered eyeshadows! Cambodia and Bad Behaviour are so, so stunning.

Full Frontal, Short Circuit and Goodbye Emmanuelle will be mine. How many more lipsticks do I need? I liked the idea of Last Tango, but I get a similar look with Tolede. I can pass on the pink blush because I have Desire and Angelika. I love those buy I rarely have a use for them.

That's what I thought! I also think Last Tango and Tolede are similar. I wonder what's the difference between them.

Last Tango Ls and Day Dream Blush for me. i want to see the kiss bag set too.
I want both of those too now after T's swatches. Well, at least the lipstick, it looks perfect. I'm just not sure where to order from, since HQhair stopped shipping Nars to Germany.

I noticed this too, I think Tolede is more creamy though and Last Tango has a frost. Day Dream is gorgeous too but I don't really need anymore peachy blushes, trying to behave! Lol

I'm really liking some of the lippies in this collection. The eyeshadows look great but I don't like how they shatter easily, I think I may pass. I only have NARS Super Orgasm and I love that blush, but I'm quite heavy handed and very fair so I won't dare with the brighter blushes!

I just thought I'd mention that I think the debate/ discussion about this collection that's happened in this forum has been very intelligent and respectful. It's nice to see people voicing their opinions and not have it turn into...

One more way in which it's a pleasure to be on Specktra.

Looking at the products, I'm nervous about the shadows now, because they seem to shatter so easily. If I get any (right now Wilful and Mississippi Mermaid of all colours are the ones I'm most drawn to) I'm definitely going to ask the SA to open it up so I can have a look. Hopefully, the PR samples come from a pre-production batch and the problem was fixed.

So far, I'm certain about Coeur Battant and Daydream (which I don't think looks like Deep Throat at all, although T says they're close). Of the lipsticks, I want Full Frontal and Goodbye Emmanuelle, both of which look like they'd be quite unique in my collection. Future Red is also a possibility. It's strange how it looks warm on T but cool on Karen. I'll have to check how it looks on me...

I had no idea about the artist that inspired this collection. So all this time, Exhibit A was inspired by his work. Never knew that and that color is mentioned all the time. It's always good to be be aware. I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive to google his work based on what she was saying, but after a review, nothing struck me as being too off putting. Having said that, I'm all for heavy late 70's early 80's lips, cheeks, and eyes. So stunning and evident of those times. It's a hard look to pull off without looking like you are doing the most and just plain old heavy handed with the makeup

I, too, appreciate that the debate here is intelligent and respectful. Like katred said, one more reason to love Specktra and its lovely members.

It's weird that the eyeshadows seem to shatter so easily. Maybe it's the way they are transported to bloggers? I really hope they don't shatter when they're shipped to customers because then NARS would have a big problem on their hands.

All the lipsticks look fantastic. The blushes as well.

The eyeshadows are supposed to be in the "cinematic" formula like the lipsticks right? If they are there's probably some ingredient that makes them more prone to shattering. I hope mine arrives ok! I don't mind pressing shadows but it sucks when you open a package and see shimmery color all over everything

T did write in a comment that they were basically shipped to her in an envelope and without boxes...maybe (hopefully) this is why. =|

I strongly disagree with T. Ever if some photographe look weird and macabre it has nothing to do with domestic violence. It's more surrealism than mysoginy, it's an artistic work. Violence often pervades paintings or photographs but artists. are no monstres or dangerous political leaders so far I know, they are misunderstood for some of them. David Lynch was inspired by Guy Bourdin so was François Nars, that's it in my opinion. Nars is a huge fan of cinéma and photography and a photographer himself. I love the collection and the inspiration behind the scènes.
