Personally I don't think its too vampy for the office. I've been wearing it to work and get lots of compliments on it. I guess it depends on what you are wearing. And you can always lighten it depending on the liner you wear with it. I'm actually loving it with currant liner. I had been wearing it with Nightmoth which makes it a little darker. But I like it with both. Also like it with Burgundy liner as well.

If it makes you feel any better, TTT's color is more beautiful and unique than FOD, even if you need extra work to get it nice and even. For me, now that I have P&P Lip, plus making sure to warm up my TTT just a touch, letting the tube sort of sit on my lips for a moment before starting to apply, TTT is much more well mannered.

FOD is nice because it applies easily and well and doesn't need touch ups as much as TTT, but the color is something we've seen from MAC before almost every fall season (just not in Retro Matte).

I still think Prince Noire is the absolute best of all of MAC's LE vampy colors of the past few years!!!

I agree! Although I like FOD, I love TTT more. I wish I would have gotten a BU of it. I wish it applied like FOD though. But like you once I use P & P with it I'm good to go!

When did you order yours? I ordered mine 11/6 and it shipped this morning, but my friends who ordered 11/8 and after had theirs cancelled yesterday :/
Only my most recent order got canceled. I ordered another one way back and that one shipped yesterday

I like TTT better than FOD as well. As for PN, I wore that Sunday and was reminded that I do not like that color. Good thing it was a B2M.
Not into Prince Noir?? What is this heresy?

You always wanna let P&P lip get tacky. Give it a minute or two to tack up before applying any liner or lipstick.

Does it help with lining lips? Some people line their lips so nice and I wonder what the secret is. I suck at letting things get tacky though ie lash glue lol so it may be a problem for me

I like to apply it when I'm putting on my face serum and let it sink in all the way - I like its sort of glossy feeling to be fully gone before I put on lip color. Nice to know you can wait a little less time and still get optimal results.

Only in that it helps hold liner on longer as well. It doesn't make lining itself any easier. Lining the lips shouldn't be rushed tho. You always want to take your time when lining, as it should be the longest process of the lip application.

Okay good to know. So my top lip has like an invisible line above it, we'll not invisible lol. I don't know what to call it I guess the edge of my Cupid's bow? Anyway there's like a line in between my lip and wear my mustache would be. Should I be lining that? Or just were my actual lip ends? I see people do both

You could do either, depending on the shape you want your lips to have. Lining the "invisible' line will make your lips look bigger.

Hmm I'll have to try it!! Thanks!!! :)
:winkiss:
I'm so bad at lining my top lip. I have to really take my time for it to come out good.
I have to take time on my bottom lip. I've got a scar right in the center of my bottom lip line, and it makes it tricky tricky! My friend and i would always bust up laughing when we'd be at update and she'd go to line my lip cuz she'd always forget about my damn scar!

Yeah, I know that's how it's supposed to be used, and I typically DO use it according to the directions. But there have been a few times I was in a rush and applied my lippie too soon and I did actually like it... I just can't remember what lippies they were that I used that worked well with that application. I might as well try TTT both ways with P&P Lip and see how it turns out. Can't hurt to try!

With all the sad reports of poor application I have been dreading trying TTT at all... time to just put it to the test.

I let it sink in completely - mostly because I want my TTT to be matte, matte, matte and figured it'd need to be fully absorbed to maximize the matte-i-tude.

Do you already have a Thanksgiving lipstick color all picked out? I'm still not sure if I'm having a fancy T-day up north with the family of friends or just a simple, casual one down here, so I'm not sure. I don't think I'd want to use TTT on a day with tons of eating and drinking, though, because even when I get it applied nicely, it doesn't have the best staying power - rather than staining the lips, it just sort of dissolves and needs immediate touch ups. I think I'm leaning towards PfP, JAB or Heaux if I go fancy, and Runway Hit, Mehr or maybe Subverted, if I want something softer (yes, I said Subverted - that color is just so darn flattering, it reads "beautiful" on me, not just "vampy").

I think I'm going to try TTT tomorrow just in case I don't like it; I won't be upset with my lipstick all day on Thanksgiving. My family always gathers at my house on Thanksgiving day, since I'm really the only one with enough room for our growing clan and knows anything about cooking! So, I'm guessing my makeup will be pretty low key that day with all the kitchen drama that will inevitably unfold. Mehr may be a good pick for me too!

Some ladies have suggested applying P+P, and a nude color, and then finally, applying TTT over. I tried this and it worked great! I don't find that it changes the color of TTT. :D
