MAC Retro Matte collection (September 12, 2013)

Hey All,

I finally broke out my carte de credit this year and purchased some MAC goodies!

I skipped most of the collections this year but finally picked up 3 of the retro mattes.

I made off with:

Relentlessly Red
Flat Out Fabulous
All Fired Up

The formula is wonderful and the staying power is off the chart!

These babies are right down my alley.

I re-organized my lipstick stash the other day and about 3/4 of them are MAC Mattes or Mattenes.

Okay so I went to my macys today and asked what they had in stock of this collection. They told me some colors were originally limited addition but no longer are. However they get little shipmentS and sell out quick BUT they told me they are able to place an order for me in whatever color I want BUT I can't b2m for orders it has to be in stock... So now I'm wondering wth is it not limited then? Lol

I'm in Dillard's right now and asked the same question...they are still being told that 3 colors are LE so...the confusion continues lol

Oh no I know how it's possible I just mean how can they order me runaway hit and fixed on drama if it's limited?

Would you mind sharing which Macy's? I might test this theory out

Wow thats crazy! smh fixed on drama is definitely worth the hype, so if yal find it, get it! I love it! its nothing like TTT to me...its perfect

I agree. I would pick Fixed on Drama over TTT any day of the week because I don't want the drama of trying to make TTT works.

It really is, I love it but have only worn it once since I recently pulled out Strong Woman and fell back in love with it super hard. LOL

I ended up getting another FOD so I'm very happy! I LOVE this color, can't believe I almost never got it. Now I'm just waiting for one more for my mom! :)

MAC failed me big time today. I had ordered a FOD from the restock and was planning on swapping it with a fellow Specktrette.... Knowing this before i received the little black box, I didn't even open the box until today to get the lipstick out. Of course, I didn't open the lipstick at all since I looked at it as it wasn't mine. I met up with the lovely Specktrette who I was swapping with and when she opened up the lipstick, the tip was damaged!!!! And when she looked at the rest of the lipstick, the sides looked like it was used!!!! Like someone rubbed their fingers all over it!!! I was so embarrassed!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I am now on hold with MAC furious because they made me look terrible! I never had this problem before so that's why I didn't check the lipstick before Leaving the house. Smh... I was thinking maybe the lipstick was loose and was rolling around in the tube (I remember this was an issue with retro mattes) and that's why it looked like that, but the lipstick is firm in its holder and I couldn't see any other reason why it would look like that. Of course, the person I was swapping with was very understanding and sweet. I just didn't want her to think I knew of this and was trying to get over on her. Here is what it looks like.

Finally, off the phone and they will send me a new one. It will be here no later than Wednesday.

I hate that I am a procrastinator. It has lead me to missing out on ririwoo in the fall packaging. I bought goodbye emanuelle from nars thinking it would be enough to skip steady going but I keep having this ache to order. Besides the finish which is obvious is steady going a must? There is too much back and forth if its LE.
