Young at Heart looks awesomeI'm loving this whole collection! I did not want the casual colors but I do now!
I was seriously on the fence about them, but I actually busted out my original ones the past week and I'm liking them again a lot. Just super simple and easy and unfussy - slap it on lips and cheeks with a little mascara and you're totally done.I'm loving this whole collection! I did not want the casual colors but I do now!
That would be fantastic, libaThanks for posting this, Miss0Annette! Really shows off those Casual Colors!![]()

Cream blush looks really good on me, but I so often don't reach for it. I made a point of pulling out a few of my old Cremeblend blushes like Joie de Vivre and So Sweet So Easy for spring, plus Relaxation and Have a Lovely Day Casual Color. They really brighten up the cheeks in a way powder blush just doesn't. These two CCs from Playland are like JdV and SSSE on crack, so they're very very tempting. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on them, but if I do, I am going to force myself to use them on cheeks and/or lips at least once a week each, to get back in the cream blush habit.
As soon as I get a chance to see this collection, I'll know if they're really going to be great or not. I'll definitely come around and talk about it when I do.
I'm sure you have dupes for every shade in MAC as well as Chanel and other brands too. (just to be an anti-enabler for a minute)I want to throw all of my money at the lip products in this collection even though I have a dupe for just about every shade (not the yellow) in Chanel. I'm so ready for warmer weather though that I think I'll get swept away and buy it up anyway. Not interested in the pigments and the casual color products. I hoard them and never use them.
Ha! You're right. Amplified is definitely not a favorite of mine. I can't promise self control, though so I can't write everything off. I'll just have to wait and see. I think I can avoid the online temptation so maybe I need to ban myself from the mall until I think these shades are sold out. That won't take long and that tactic has worked for me before.I'm sure you have dupes for every shade in MAC as well as Chanel and other brands too. I'm not a huge amplified person either. Sometimes it works and sometimes it looks too heavy and greasy. Petals & Peacocks is one of the few that's totally up my alley. The only way I am purchasing any of these lippies is in person, while armed with a makeup bag filled with potential dupes for comparison.Ha! You're right. Then I guess you won't be buying a thing. :haha: Petals and Peacocks was too heavy on me. You just reminded me of that. Ick. Now I'm not so hopeful about this. In fact, I'm not too excited about anything that's coming out soon across any brand. Maybe I've finally hit my ceiling.I'm not a huge amplified person either. I wish they would come out with some beautiful lipliner colors![]()
I crave a Pro Longwear lip pencil exactly like Dervish, which is my exact natural lip color. Also, a straight up yellow lip pencil, or a very yellow-heavy apricot would be very handy for toning down excessive brown and nuding out other colors that might have just a touch too much pink in them or need a little more warmth.I feel like I've bought so many Mac lip liner over the past year. What color, practical color is left?
Lol practical was not the first thing I thought of. What about a 24k gold liner or a tiffany blue or even new shades similar to stone. Lipliners themselves can be used to create fantastic lipstick looks.I feel like I've bought so many Mac lip liner over the past year. What color, practical color is left?
I still get excited about MAC's new products/formulas. They're usually impressive high tech at a substantial discount from the other high end brands that do similar R&D. The Huggables were excellent and I'm really looking forward to the Patentpolish pencils, which my MA friends have raved about. I don't follow other brands too closely, but I think I am going to make an effort to check out the Armani liquid cheek colors and bronzer that just got announced for summer. I've used plant oils for skincare most of my life and they are wonderful, so to do something along those lines that has pigment too and absorbs and dries down quickly is a fantastic idea, if they can pull it off. I can only imagine what a foundation based around that concept could be…love that future-tech!!!!! I crave a Pro Longwear lip pencil exactly like Dervish, which is my exact natural lip color. 24K gold sounds like a good idea if they can nail it. I'd be all about that. Blues and all those more "out there" colors carry a lot of possibilities, but I was just wondering about other possible shades because I've hoarded so many Mac liners that I don't think any other "normal" color is something I would need. I have just about everything covered. Plus, I don't even use lip liners as much as I should. I'm not saying Mac should stop with lip liners because little old me has more liners than I know what to do with, but I feel like I've seen all the colors I could ever need. :dunno:Lol practical was not the first thing I thought of. Same. I have 10 MAC lip liners so the colours I wear are covered. I wear liner almost all the time. I only skip it with sheer balm like colours.24K gold sounds like a good idea if they can nail it.
