You think there is? I thought special packaging didn't have pro discount allowed
I seem to recall Archie's Girls was supposed to be a "pro discount not applicable" collection, but then when I bought stuff from that collection, my discount came off after all. So we'll see what happens with this one!

I might get a lipstick or two from this collection if they're nice. I'm just kind of over Extra Dimension products at the moment. Also this comes out around my birthday and I've already been eyeing some YSL rouge volupte shines to splurge on.

I'd be a happy girl if that was the case. I've already showed my husband the little compact and blush so he's aware of the damage that's gonna happen.

I'm anxious to know the prices!!!
Looking at Magnetic Nude (the last Extra Dimension collection) prices, the EDBlushes = $25, EDES = $19.50 and those were in regular packaging. When Archie's girls came out the lipsticks (in special packaging) were $16.50 which is $1.50 price increase from regular $15 (the prevailing price back then) same as Temperature Rising lipsticks. Since Alluring Aquatic is special packaging too (albeit no trademark characters), I really want to know how much price hike up we can expect, given MAC lipsticks now are $16.00. I'm hoping it won't be as high as $1.50 like in Archie's Girls but I am expecting around that range. Ofcourse we won't know until the official list comes out. My wallet is bracing itself...
ED collections are usually the same price as the Mineralize stuff so I bet this collection will be the same price as Divine Night collection. I could be wrong but thats my two cents lol. Anyways I can't say it enough I love extra dimensions products.

:happydance: July is my birthday month but I'm not too much of a fan of mineralize, except for the blushes (and I'm on a msf no buy). So ill do my birthday splurge with this!! ED is one of my FAV formulas! I've only bought two products so far this year (still getting nars sex fantasy so that's 3) And I'm pretty much skipping everything else except for Playland. omg I hope they come out with some bolder colors in the glow formula for the shadows! Have quite a few edes's but need a teal/tourqoise one

I'm telling you MRV. If you check the ingredients in shampoos/conditioners even when they say no alcohol it's in there under different names like sulfate, Sodium laurel sulfate, Diethanolamine DEA, Cocamide DEA, Methylparaben & Formaldehyde. Eew!!!!! Even some of the more "natural" shampoos have hidden alcohol in there ingredients. It's drying, damaging and making our hair fall out. I don't understand why we need to have such crap in our shampoos, when I was younger my mom says she doesn't remember ever having any of these chemicals in the shampoos she bought.
Parabens http://cosmeticsinfo.org/HBI/9 (methylparaben is a preservative agent; nothing more. And it's barely in your personal care products. I don't think I've seen it in shampoo or conditioner at all?) http://www.euractiv.com/health/scientific-committee-endocrine-d-news-528299 http://personalcaretruth.com/2010/11/parabens-in-perspective-an-introduction/ (Parabens occur naturally in blueberries, but you don't see the junk science/scaremongering groups telling people to stop eating them.) Cocamide/Lauramide/Linoleamide/Oleamide DEA http://cosmeticsinfo.org/ingredient/cocamide-dea-lauramide-dea-linoleamide-dea-and-oleamide-dea http://www.paulaschoice.com/cosmetic-ingredient-dictionary/definition/miscellaneous/diethanolamine Formaldehyde ~ In cosmetics, the gas itself is not used. http://cosmeticsinfo.org/ingredient/formaldehyde http://personalcaretruth.com/2010/08/exposing-the-formaldehyde-myth/ http://www.paulaschoice.com/cosmetic-ingredient-dictionary/definition/preservatives/formaldehyde-releasing-preservative That said, Brazilian keratin straightening involves the stuff. (Or it did; I'm not sure if it still does.) http://thebeautybrains.com/2009/12/21/is-brazilian-keratin-straightening-safe/ Everything in cosmetics is a chemical. This has always been true, and will continue to be true. Even water (aka dihydrogen monoxide) is a chemical. And our bodies are made up of them. It is the dose that makes the poison, not the presence of the ingredient itself. Please don't believe the scaremongering BS that's out there. Topic? That packaging is effing gorgeous.

I have heard so many arguments about this parabens in products can cause cancer. I have also heard that paraben is not bad for you when you have smaller doses of it. But since it is in a lot of our products we use that would make the dose higher so now that changes things. Either way since I am not educated enough to even render an opinion I opted to not buy so many products with parabens in it. I wish that all of Mac's collections had packaging like this collection in different colors.

Archies had a discount, Temperature Rising had a discount...it all depends on the collection and the mood that MAC is in at that moment. Ya.
Yay thanks!! I JUST really started following Mac collection releases so I'm still not 100% sure as to how the discount will apply. On a different note, could you recommend a good wedding appropriate blush for someone nw35?

So I have been doing makeup for friends weddings and photoshoots and ballet performances for years now, and I was starting to wonder about the pro discount? How in the heck does that work? Is there a thread on how to do that on here? Sorry I'm a bit off topic, but everyone brings up the discount and now I'm super curious!!!

The instagrammer (is that a word? lol) says it's a regular bronzing powder not a Pro Longwear. So I guess it's not a ED one either.

I have seen parabens in most drugstore shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc. Although I've noticed some brands releasing products now that are advertised as paraben-free.
I'm no expert, but I've read many times that parabens can act as estrogen which can cause breast cancer if you're exposed to it in higher dosages/throughout life. So I think it's a great thing if consumers opt for more natural alternatives to be on the safe side.

I think some parabens are to be removed from the formulas ( 2015 so far I know ). But I do think taking the pill is very dangerous too if not lethal in some cases. To be on the safe side implies drastic changes in our way of living and scientists must be honest and say the truth about the products they launch on the market.
