OK, so I am peeved that so many people have been ignoring these pencils, and especially listening to all the weird talk and bad photos of them on the internet. It's true there are lots of lip color pencils out on the market already, and I know that gets in the way of these having a unique image. The thing is, it's not just the formula on these - it's the formula PLUS the form factor (the rounded tip of the product, the self sharpening, even the way it feels in your hand and how the cap closes with a click and doesn't go near the product, smearing it around.) PLUS the really gorgeous colors that are quite different from the shades that a lot of other chubby pencils have.

It's not sunny today over here, but tomorrow should be and I will try to take a bunch of full face photos. My camera sucks and it's pretty doubtful I'll get a lot of really correct color reproduction but I'll do my best. These could use some love. I tried and retried so many of them yesterday and my lips are super soft and smooth today, not thrashed!

Liba do any colors stand out? I was going to go and check them out this afternoon if I can leave work soon. I tried the huggables finally. I all I got was Touché and I loved it and for the first time ever I backed up a lipstick. Thanks!!!!

I really can' t wait to try them!

liba, do you think that they also work as "colored moisturizing bases" (only a thin layer) for lipsticks?Sultana for Talk That Talk e.g.?

I'm not sure about using them as a base, since they form a very slick but film-like layer when they set. My MA was saying they work really well on top of lipsticks, though! Sultana goes on very evenly for such a semi-transparent vampy color so I could see it being nice on top of TTT. I really love it worn on its own - it's very flattering and stylish that way.

This sounds very nice too!

I will definitely try Sultana on top of TTT.

I just thought that they might work as bases because you mentioned their outstanding moisturizing effect. But if they are rather slick it might not work.

Thank you again, liba

They're not harsh on the lips like a lot of opaque glosses and liquid lipsticks. They're not intentionally moisturizing like the Huggables or a balm either, though. They don't feel particularly soothing or moisturizing when you are wearing them. It's just your lips are left in good condition when you're done for the day, rather than being all dried out or stained.

i have both. They are extremely similar on the lips but there is a slight hint of plum on one and hint pink on the other. They are the perfect MLBB and feel really nice on. i like the formula enough to keep both but i have to keep the pencil in my pocket and reapply often otherwise it only wears off in the middle of the lips but not around the lips. i knew this when i bought kittenish and i still bought spontaneous and fearless anyway because the color and formula is worth it to me. my macys girl said they just have what they have like LE lipsticks, they aren't getting more batches like the huggables and mineralized lipsticks. not sure how true it is but i have the 3 i liked best. HTH

Picked up The last Kittenish at my local Belk counter. Totally forgot it was prom season so it was packed. Loved it!

So I went back and got Hopelessly Devoted despite the prom crowd. I love the way they feel. I wasn't going to buy any of these but thanks to Liba I had to try them out!!! Curious to see what Sharon Osboune's colors now. Thanks again Liba!!!

I tried to do a post about these on my blog this week but I've been having probs with my internet connection and only 2 pics uploaded. I do love the feel if them. My fav is Hopelessly Devoted, because I like opaque color. Next best of what I bought is Spontaneous. Kittenish is nice for times I want a subtle color. PatentPink really sunk into the lines on my lips, so I'll have to wear a primer with it.

Liba! I have bought 6, yes 6 of these pencils so far and I am considering more! Right now I am sporting go for girlie, and it is totally fabulous! This is just to say that many of us are listening (and taking notes--haha--the English professor that I am!). And I am always thankful for your thoughts and reviews. The wear time isn't the greatest, but I knew that and still bought more. The colors and finish are stellar!

I have Kittenish and Fearless and am really liking these! I have worn them on their own and over lipsticks so far. I am tempted to get another, but trying to stick to my low-buy. But my birthday IS coming up...

These darn pencils sucked me in tonight. Whyyyy!?

I couldn't choose between Teen Dream and Go for Girlie. So I indulged myself and got both! Ugh, they're so pretty on!

I ordered Go For Girlie on ebay, they won't be out here in switzerland till May:( anyway, I received it today and I looove it. It goes on so smooth and the color's so pretty

I also compared it to a couple of lippies in my stash (l-r: gfg, viva glam nicki, costa chic, flamingo)

I swatched these the other day and I'm smitten with Teen Dream, Fearless, & Spontaneous. They're just not in my budget for now, I'm really trying to save up for Proenza. I hope they are still available for purchase somewhere by the end of the month.
