MAC Playland Collection - April 7, 2014

See, this is what I ran into when I saw the collection. I'd originally been pretty sure I was going to skip most of it, but the colors and the way they worked together got me really excited. Even still, I know that they're not going to be things I'm going to wear all the time. They'll be fun and sexy with little white sundresses or with a bikini lounging around the pool in a totally impractical way.

I was thinking the same. Summer music festivals and beach barbecues ... I mean as long as I have places to wear it right? Haha

I would wear it walking the dogs! If you love it, you'll definitely find places to wear it!

Very true. I have lots of brights, I'm kind of a UD eyeshadow junkie. I also have lots of Sugarpill brights. I wear them out sometimes, and I swear no one ever asks me if I've lost my mind ... usually people love it. I don't wear them to the office, of course (except if it's a Holiday), but it's definitely a fun change of pace here and there.

there is a pool in my house but i only swim when the sun is gone or at night.

Wow, so these are bright! LOL! In terms of brightness, is there any comparison to Force of Love? That is one of my more neon bright shades (which I wear all over the city in the summer). From what you have said, I am guessing these are even more in your face!

Force of Love is pretty ding durn bright. I'd say these are a teeny smidge less so, but only because they have less white in them (except Sweet Experience - but even that one isn't quite as neon). They're definitely all bright, but a hair below neon, at least in indoor light. I don't think it's going to be easy to photograph any of them very well.

How does Happy Go Lucky compare to Candy Yum Yum? More or less neon? Lighter or darker?
