Bougainvillea nail polish: I applied 2 coats and it was much better than Thimbleweed. It was pigmented and easy to work with. Beautiful orange-red!

I asked a MAC Counter today in a department store in Australia about the release and they said it would only come to their rival department store and was being pushed back until May.

I hope Nordies get this so I can order Pinkfringe and back up like crazy and get it ASAP.

I called MAC and they said April 21st would be the online launch date. Which would make sense if the counter date is the 24th.

I believe them, but I'm iffy about whether the blushes will be "coming soon" at that point. If they aren't showing up in Europe, they won't be here either imo.

No way - not on me, that's for sure. Ablaze is coral and Mangrove is warm yellow/orange-ish red. ablaze is clown lips bright and Mangrove is vibrant and glowing, but not bright at all. I'm NC15 - Mangrove I am sure will pull a little pinker on darker skin tones, but it won't ever be as bright as Ablaze.


i totally agree with you - Christine is in her bizarre alterna-world again on that. Scarlet Ibis is eye searing bright compared to Mangrove.

Yet again, you sum it up. Mangrove's the most truly modern red I've seen from MAC in years. I went from not caring about it, to thinking all the time about it, then decided to buy for sure and now just waiting for the day I'll be able to pick it up in-store.

Okayyyy I'm gonna have to pay a visit to Mr. Mangrove in person... I like that you make a distinction between "bright" vs. "vibrant/glowing" Im always on the hunt for a red that "glows" on me ....thats the better word to use over "bright".

And I will want the liners too now! I only have Fashion Boost for PLW liners and was meaning to get the 2 colors in this collection.

I really do want want an ombre blush but I fell like these are not as unique as Vintage Grape, Azalea Blossom or Ripe Peach...
