Aww it's so nice to hear when boyfriend's encourage makeup buying and especially when they offer up their own money. My boyfriend would probably laugh and think I was joking if I showed him these lipsticks since they aren't exactly everyday colors.
yeah it's really , really great to have a boyfriend that supports it. Well, he supports my blogging. If it was just me wanting makeup he might see it a little different but he knows how passionate I am about blogging and that it's a hobbie that could even someday pay some bills so he supports me. and sometimes I tell him stories I hear from fellow bloggers about their husbands who are really unsupportive and he knows that upsets me.
To be fair we are a more 'alternative' couple so the unusual colors don't surprise him that much but even he was a little iffy. He is more used to me wearing black lipstick than wanting to wear lime green lol

I got all of them except the pink one....actuaallly my boyfriend got them for me. With the free shipping and 25% off he insisted we get them all at once for the better discount (I was only going to get a few at a time) I can't wait until they come in!

I agree! My current partner supports my habit both in the normal sense and financial sense.

When I wanted to buy the MUG Ultimate Palette and I was a bit strapped for cash he gave me his CC to use. He laughs and finds it adorable when I get new things and blab on about them and how this shade is similar but diff. to that one, etc etc. That doesn't mean however he doesn't roll his eyes at me and the constant want to purchase, lol!

I expect full honesty from our lovely Specktraettes here.....  I love Lorde's music, but I just don't feel like she has established herself as a beauty/style/fashion icon to anchor a solo collaboration.  Am I just being a hater?  I just feel that there are other celebs who have broken boundaries and are legitimate fashion/style/beauty icons or even other pop culture phenomenons that would make a better collection than Lorde; especially just barely coming off Punk Couture.   Thoughts? Comments?  Counterarguments?  Kick in the pants to get me on board?  :2cents:
I love Lorde, and I think despite her age - her music is definitely not for teens. That's just not the demographic I think her music is aimed for, and I am excited for this collection. However, that being said. I do agree that she's quite new and that is surprising to do a solo collection even if it is only online but look at Gaga and Nicki Minaj. They were pretty popular from the get go. I've got more of a problem with this collection being released so soon after punk couture. Even though I think the eyeshadows will be different, the same dark lippie so soon after is less exciting.

I think she is a ground breaker and much more creative than most of the pop artists out there. I have been admiring her make up since the VMA and thought she would be a great MAC rep. I approve their choice!

Ehh, I'm glad MAC is making so many purples now, but is this gonna be any different than my other ones? It looks like Instigator, to me. They're still not convincing me on this Lorde thing

Agreed! I need swatches to be convinced that I ought to purchase this one. Way too many collections coming out at the same time. I can use those funds elsewhere if this one is easily dupeable.
