Ok! I just got off the phone and the girl that talked to me was super nice! She refunded me and gave me the refund reference # just in case. I got to keep SB too. The only thing that kinda sucks is that she told me Paypal may take between 7 to 14 business days to credit my money. Now I just have to wait for Nordstrom to come through and send me the OC I ordered

This thread has just exploded. I came on here for a minute yesterday - 500 posts. Today another 400. Well, I gathered that there was some mix up with the blushes and people that wanted Ocean City got the pink one. It is funny because the last thing I remember reading was someone saying it was nice to have a smooth launch. Ooops I guess that was spoken too soon. Anyway, anyone fretting over Ocean City, maybe you shouldn't. I finally tried it this morning and it definitely didn't float my boat. I swiped the blush back and forth against the two colors and it was just ho hum. Maybe if I just try the colors on their own, I'll change my mind. In the morning light, my Ocean City lightest color looked almost tan in the pan. So weird. I still have yet to try the pink blush but that was just a why not purchase. Ocean City is no Ripe Peach. Too bad but here's hoping Mac will rerelease Ripe Peach one day.

I just got a call from MAC about my order and the supervisor said they wouldn't have a resolution until sometime next week, but would give me another call or email within 24-48 hours. Seems somewhat strange that they would contact me again so soon when they still wouldn't have an answer at that point.
I only called them once, which was on Tuesday when I received the wrong blush. I guess I'm glad they are are trying to communicate with me and not leave me completely in the dark over the whole situation. I'll just be glad when this is resolved and I can move on to something else.

Gorgeous photos! Wow do these blushes photograph beautifully! Glad everything worked out for you!Finally Sorted it out! cald mac to cancel and get a refund based on their mail (wil take 7-10 days stll). Went to macys and got OC!!!

i called this morning and just received an email confirming my refund. and they did tell me to keep the blush that they sent in error.

its definitely just a 'cover your bases' type thing. if they said 2 days and it took 4, people would start freaking out by day 3

My Ocean City doesn't arrive til tomorrow but with all this mix up I decided to go to Macy's this morning and get one just in case I get the wrong one, while I was there I swatched Sunset Beach and wasn't impressed with the pigmentation in comparison to Ocean City it also seem a lot more desaturated than on the pictures I've seen online..it took me a few swipes to get the color on my fingers. Did that happen to anyone?

Just wanted to give you lovelies a quick update. I requested a refund earlier this afternoon. MAC confirmed the refund around 6:30 this evening. Paypal credited my account a half hour later. I'm not as upset as I was 24 hours ago. Thanks so much to you guys for the support and advice! Edit for typos gaaaaah!

Hi kids! Just popping in quickly.. it's wayyyy past my bedtime.
By now the whole world knows about the proenza gong show.. and it's not an easy pill to swallow on a corporate level.
One consolation: Remember, it's just makeup. Nothing more nothing less. Yes, it's important to us because we are addicts, but on a global scale, it's not.
I know MAC has had a lot of flap about this fiasco.. but for as much as we expect all our orders to go through flawlessly, they are all handled by someone behind the computer.. err, Humans! and, to err is human, to forgive is divine... and humans make mistakes. Whether it was at the distribution center, or at some plant.. it's still being investigated. But never fear, all will get their right orders, or their money back.
As to the quality of the blushes.. I don't like to get into these issues as we have been down the road before. I don't think the blushes are optimum quality -- they seem a bit lacking. But they certainly don't deserve to be trashed by any bloggers either. These opinions can hurt company image and are entirely personal. I don't agree with bloggers having this power of "rating" our products.. that should be our personal choice. They should be happy with the money they make off US.
with all this said.. I hope everyone enjoys their goodies!

Finger swatches of these haven't gotten as good results. Many have reported great pigmentation when using a brush.
