Its an expensive habit enough just wearing it, but to eat it too :amused:   prolly not too healthy to eat the metallic ones
she said she spends about $200 a week and eats 20 compacts a day. she looked like she was eating wet and wild trios. she was wearing make up too! imagine what it'd cost if she was eating Dior or mac or something omg.

Eating makeup...that's somewhat disturbing and can't be good for her health. I hope she only eats drugstore stuff, otherwise it could be an expensive habit.  I will admit that I did try the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and the Chocolate Bar Palette and they actually taste like chocolate. I guess that makes me a little nutty too lol.
at one point jessica Simpson made that edible makeup?! but chocolate I would try too hahaha

Oh my gosh! I remember that stuff! That reminds me of the one and only time I ever stole in my life and it was a complete accident. I was at Walgreens with my mom and she let me get one of the glosses, but I ended up forgetting it was in my hand and walked right out with it. Of course as soon as I got to the car I realized and ran back inside to pay for it. I also had one of the lotions too but I can't remember if it tasted good.

*Just to clarify, I didn't take a bite out of anything, just a little finger swipe.
I got the chocolate bar palette too & it really is nice & does smell like chocolate...but I did not nibble on it

I picked up my blushes that my SA held for me and they still had more, so I grabbed a couple extra of Ocean City just in case the online situation with MAC doesn't pan out.  I'll check back tomorrow to see if they still have any more.
That is so nice of you!

it made me feel better too! hahaha sort of in a 'if I spend that much I would at least have the makeup for a while'

there was no denying it! they blurred the label out but I knew... I knew.

I wanted it, but I couldn't ever find it! I want to say it was called dessert. hahaha

I was affected by the mix up as well and received Sunset Beach instead of Ocean City. I went to MAC Soho in NYC and got my OC and the rep told me to just keep SB. I honestly feel like MAC handled the situation the best way they could although it was a pretty big snafu. I feel like a winner with 2 for 1! I hope everyone ends up with what they want.

P.S - At closing today, MAC Soho had both blushes still.

So here's the update. They couldn't find me a blush in any Nordstrom near by. That's three stores. However the MUA there called Pro and was able to snag me the last OC they had. Nordie's did a simple returns and I did have to drive down to South Beach for OC but I didn't mind!! When I got there I read the name and asked the MUA to open it to make sure. I'm calling MAC in the morning to see if I can return SB and get a refund. Thank you to the lovely Specktrettes that offered me help with this situation. Confirming why I love it here so much.

Hi kids!  Just popping in quickly.. it's wayyyy past my bedtime. By now the whole world knows about the proenza gong show.. and it's not an easy pill to swallow on a corporate level.   One consolation:  Remember, it's just makeup.  Nothing more nothing less.  Yes, it's important to us because we are addicts, but on a global scale, it's not. I know MAC has had a lot of flap about this fiasco.. but for as much as we expect all our orders to go through flawlessly, they are all handled by someone behind the computer.. err, Humans!  and, to err is human, to forgive is divine... and humans make mistakes.  Whether it was at the distribution center, or at some plant.. it's still being investigated.  But never fear, all will get their right orders, or their money back. As to the quality of the blushes.. I don't like to get into these issues as we have been down the road before.  I don't think the blushes are optimum quality -- they seem a bit lacking.  But they certainly don't deserve to be trashed by any bloggers either.  These opinions can hurt company image and are entirely personal.  I don't agree with bloggers having this power of "rating" our products.. that should be our personal choice.  They should be happy with the money they make off US. with all this said.. I hope everyone enjoys their goodies! big hugs to all..
Thank you, Hergreyness! I didn't want to upset anyone, since I got both blushes, but it is just blush. It's not a loved one being killed, MAC hasn't ruined someone's life. It's just color for your skin. At the end of our lives I doubt we'll think of this. MAC and whoever made this mistake will probably have repercussions from this for much longer.

Since Mac is giving problems why doesn't everyone here swap for the blush they really want. Not sure how Mac gunna correct this foolishness but its worth a try

I totally agree! Yes, I was upset but then I chilled and realized its just makeup and yes it was a huge mistake and problem but at the end of the day MAC is trying hard to solve it. Also as you said all of this changed someones life and not in a good way and I feel really bad about that.

And to think we worry about something being safe for the waterline! And I guess I shouldn't think too much about the warning label on the UD Electric Palette!!
