I got my blush yesterday and I really like it - I am NC 15 and the color shows up with just one swipe of my brush - as far as texture I don't find it stiff at all

Hi everyone! Long time lurker, ultimate beauty/mac lover, and I just wanted to introduce myself to this makeup loving community. You all seem reallllly nice I'm constantly doing serious MAC haulage damage so just thought I would join in the discussion. Lol. I believe I was sent the wrong lipglass too!! My mirror color is pale gold instead of being silver. Ugh! Didn't they learn with the Proenza Schouler blush mixup to double check they are putting the right products in the boxes?! Definitely annoyed! I also hauled roxo which is beautiful but I'm not a red lover and rarely wear my Marilyn Monroe mac lipsticks so I couldn't justify any of the other 2 red lipsticks. I really do love the blusher duo though--is the quality really as bad as they say? I'm hoping they'll rectify this in a timely manner without inconveniencing me to send the back for the right lipglass. Sorry to all those affected! -Gina

My theory: MAC is conditioning us all to buy one of everything on LE collection releases to make sure we get the things we really want. Short term replacements of items vs long term purchasing of double the items by more people? Makes sense to me.

Why MAC why! Sticker says Mirror but the gloss is gold. I'll call them tomorrow... The Gold is very pretty but more opaque than I desire. I wanted a wash of shimmer to go over other lippies. This gloss will completely cover anything underneath.

My friend thought the same. Her silver is a very opaque silver frost and not very sheer. Very 90's by itself, nothing sheer about it.

Has anyone got the studio fix I open it then turn it upside down and the powder puff comes out is this suppose to happen or does the seperate compartment where the powder puff shuts tight ? I think mine is broke I only bought it yesterday It closes tight when I shut it up I will take picture x

That doesn't sound broken. The part with the powder doesn't snap down over the puff storage area. It's supposed to be loose.

Finally got to play with all of my goodies! Here's a swatch of Roxo I did when I got home. I posted a video (link in signature) of the lipglasses layered over it and some comparisons. My lipglasses were mislabeled, too but I got them so I don't care! haha

Thank you on the advice of the compact what I had bought My first mac foundation in a powder form I do love it but don't know why they didn't multi the clasp lol thank you for advice The colour nw25 looks great on me I think lol I need to catch sime rays fat chance in uk lol I need to buy a tanning bed grrrr been telling my hubby that for 10 years grrrrrrr !!!!!!!!

Im so happy to read good things about the blush! It seems like T is always having issues with products being .... DRY... CHALKY.... Etc. but I think its her. I have never had issues with any of the products she complains about. Just sayin

The silver one is the exact same way, maybe even a teeny tiny bit more opaque than the gold one! If that's not what you are looking for, maybe you can just get a total refund and be done with the whole thing? I'm trying to be Little Miss Anti-Enabler!

Also for all of you who are really tempted by the blush: Ask yourself a couple of questions: Do you already have Ring of Saturn MB? If yes, do you use it so much that you wish you had a matte version or a version that was a little softer and easier to buff in? Also, do you wish you had a Beauty Powder that was similar to Forever Marilyn but maybe a little bit pinker and deeper (just a little bit)? If you answered yes to all of these, you probably will be interested in the blush, but if these questions make you say "OK, whatever", then you could skip the blush and not feel like you missed something supernaturally great. I keep trying to talk myself out of the blush, but it's pretty tempting to me personally. However, with all the blushes I already have, it's the sort of thing that's a little hard for me to justify, just because I could already get the same look more or less. That compact is gorgeous, though and it'd be a great blush to wear all summer and fall - it's the sort of product you could wear every single day very easily because it's versatile and subtle.

interesting comparison. i have ring of saturn but rarely wear it for that very reason...the shimmer factor. i love satin and matte blushes.

i think one of the best parts about the blush and the eyeshadow quad is just the ease of having the products together...takes the effort out of putting looks together. which is great for rushed mornings or going out on the fly. i already have sable. i don't doubt i could approximate the other colours, but i feel like having the shades together outweighs the duplication factor. (i'm not sure i would say the same if i owed three of the four shades).

How cool if we got a covert ops underway- synchronized watches, disseminated the right tactical verbiage and then with orchestration of a Tom Cruise mission, proceeded to blitz-contact MAC Mucky-Muks! On second thought- that just might get us flagged

and -let's be real- The Osbourne's collection is literally around the corner- so maybe "Nahhh" (Like when Fat Amy rationalizes NOT taking crystal meth in PERFECT PITCH-the movie!) lets just make some Long Island Tea and munch on something delectably French patisserie-like and lie down till the feeling passes!!LOL!!

The quad is pretty, but I have to keep reminding myself that the colors are dupable and I probably have one - or more - dupes of each in my collection already. Jesus be some will power!

If you were planning on using them for layering, it all depends on how much you apply. They can easily be applied as a sheer wash of shimmer.
