MAC x The Simpsons Collection (Sept 4, 2014)

Someone broke into my apartment and stole about half of my makeup collection - lipsticks, lipglosses, brushes, blushes etc. I live in a gated apartment complex btw. The fuck?!! I dont wear makeup everyday, so I have no idea when this happened. Must be in the last week, because I went out with my bestie last weekend and everything was there. My limited edition retromatte lippies - AFU, RR are gone. All my nude lipsticks and my Rihanna lippies (Nude, TT as well as Heaux) are gone (luckily I have backups of Heaux in the closet). The KYY and cranberry lip pencil from Osbournes that I JUST got and haven't even tried on are gone! Even my fucking false lashes!!  I am upset but also scared. Who is to say this bitch (I assume it's a woman) didnt try on all my lippies and lipglosses and left what she didnt want behind? Or that they won't come back? I have to check the rest of my apt to see what else is missing. It must be someone living in this complex, who knows when I am not here.  My bf is livid, he is about to hurt somebody. He is worried about my safety, and so am I. 

I am sorry to hear this, BajanDoc. Have you filed a police report? Also, I agree with mac-obsessed that this crime was pretty specific. The person didn't take your personal ID documents, jewelry, electronics, or anything else of value? This may be someone that knows your shopping habits and has access to your place without anyone batting an eye, ie, someone you know. I hope police are able to track down the thief.

Scary! Have you ever talked about your collection to a neighbor? Or do you have a close neighbor who can maybe see what you're buying? Were major things stolen? Like electronics, valuable things?

I was at the MAC counter tonight and was talking to the SA there. She said there were going to be lipsticks in this collection. I thought I had read there weren't going to be, but I'll be excited if there are.

@Bajandoc, I am so sorry about your losses. I know there is very little anyone can say to really comfort you while your emotions are labile. I ran into a restaurant once after work with my cell phone and cash in my pockets. Someone smashed the windows on my truck and stole everything including designer prescription sunshades and regular glasses, my make up kit, all my credits, debit and business cards, I mean everything. The bag alone was a expensive leather Juicy Couture bag. Every time I see a pic of me with that bag I get angry. My ex husband to be and my mom said that I sat on the ground and sobbed like a baby but I was only mentioning my make up. It will not easy to feel secure for a while. I cancelled and reordered cheque books, credit cards etc and my insurance covered fixing the vehicle windows. Just be strong and develop a strategy as although the restaurant cameras showed those boys smashing my truck nothing came out of it. I know you feel violated, angry and frustrated. When you are better able to cope and handle repairing the damages just make a ISO. I will personally help you find them again. I am happy that you are safe tho. While there is life there is hope. And this too shall pass. Sometimes its hard to understand and it appears very senseless as to why males would steal feminine stuff like my glasses and make up etc (maybe to resell or gifts to their g/f) Now I keep my vehicle doors closed at all times and leave nothing of value inside. Same thing with home. Alarms on always even if I will be right back. The police did arrive on the scene when I was robbed, took report and acted all professional and official knowing nothing was coming out of it. Case number and police report useless. Hopefully you haven't touched a lot of things so maybe they can get some fingerprints. I am truly sorry this happened to you. Its not even the value of the items as much as the violation and inconsiderate inhumane behaviors. Take a deep breath and calm down so you can logically repair the damages and feel safe again. All the best love!!!!! You have good support system around you including a angered boyfriend and rightly so.

Have never spoken to the neighbours, but I know coming up the stairs you can see into my apt via the kitchen if I have the kitchen windows open, which I rarely do.

Hey, just caught up with all the posts. I didn't spend much time on the computer during the last few hours/days... i'm overwhelmed by all these posts. Just wanted to say that I am really glad to be part of this community! Although i just recently became i member I have been able to notice that there are so many different and amazing guys in here. You're so friendly and funny, it's just a pleasure to be here. I haven't been feeling so good during the last days and just because of some of your posts i was able to laugh and smile again. Thank you for that! I love to follow these threads and share my "teeny-weeny" addiction with you. Thanks! Colour is being done in 6 weeks. I'm gonna do the red for the aortic arch (obviously, and I'm thinking soft greens, yellows and peaches for the peonies and hydrangeas. Who knows. I may change my mind in those 6 weeks hahaha.

Thanks ladies! I found an drawing online and i fell in love with it, and the fact that i went with the concept of my others was even more amazing. I had him tweak it to fit me and add his own twist to it and it's perfect!
