I've actually frequented the nude beach here in Miami. The community there is very non judgemental and I've never felt strange being there. Even the times I've remained in my suit. I get the grabby thing sometimes when it comes to my hair. A lot of people don't believe its mine, and seem stunned when I say yes It is. Then there are the people that just reach out and touch it. Either to see if it's real or they don't believe it can actually be soft.:getyou:
I know that feeling all to well. I'm natural too and it's amazing how ppl just grab without asking. I literally put a stop to it because the moment you say is that all yours I back away, you get closer I pay attention to your hands, it starts to go up I say "is your hands clean"? And kindly say please don't to touch my hair. See I have to do it in the fashion because we work with sickly patients. I don't want you touching my hair after touching a cdiff, mrsa, contact isolation patients. Especially if your not washing your hands after each patient. Arghhh, if only they would allow me to work with my uniform with this plastered on the front and back of my shirt:

^Love this! I've had similar issues back in HS with my hair. No one believe a jellyfish like myself could have such big, thick naturally curly (almost kinky back then) hair. Plus my hair color is kind of redishblonde, so coming from where I lived, no one believed it. I had two girls actually yank my hair to see if it was a wig. Ended up in a fight because they couldn't believe a jelly could have that kind of hair. I've suffered with this since I was a child. Little white girl with blonde hair and an afro, can't be so. I can't remember if I've had the issue at younger ages, but HS was a nightmare for me.

All kinds I thought it was just me. I have issues with people I know touching me. I like even less when its a complete stranger. I never touch anyone's children or pets without asking first. I would mind less if someone asked me about my hair and then asked touch it. I would feel less like I'm being petted.
that's exactly it. It reminds me of the time a few girls with natural hair stood in Central Park inviting people to ask and touch their hair. They said the vast majority of folks who came up to them and touched their hair were black folks who couldn't believe they could grow that much hair out of their heads. That's sad for a different reason, but at least the women in the Park consented to be patted.

This sounds interesting. I'm loving the name. Never heard of this online store but judging the prices and all I wouldn't be interested anyway. I'm more of a 10dollarmall kinda girl. I like to switch my clothes up for work

I'm in this boat too - I work with people from Mainland China, so I'm often the first curly haired person they've ever seen in the flesh. Everyone wants to touch and then is surprised at how soft it is. I don't mind. I figure it's educational.

Now that it's getting long, I've started hearing from people "oh, I like your perm" and I have to correct them and tell 'em, nope all mine.

All I can say is, I'm glad more people are choosing to go natural. I can't believe the straight hair mafia was running things for so many years in people's minds. Variety is the spice of life, especially with all the different awesome hair textures out there. Why be like everyone else when being yourself is so unique?? If you don't like my hair, then you don't like me, as far as I'm concerned.

Matte, bold, and vampy is my middle name....so happy we're past all the AC finish!
I'm not past it yet. But I love matte so long as I have Prep&Prime it's all good. I do like the ease of Amplified right out the tube though. Just my personal preference.

I agree. AC is pigmented and creamy. Mattes are awesome, too. I feel like the matte factor always adds some boldness to your look, but i find amplifieds to be comfortable.

I have a question for anyone willing to answer.. Almost with ANY lipstick I wear, it bunches up on the inner part of my lips toward the end of its wear time. Does P+P lip help to stop this? I have tried exfoliating and moisturizing. Idk if I'm not doing it enough, but I hate having to worry about my lipstick bunching up. It's not a flattering look at all. I'm not the only one am i?

I don't hate A/C but I have to be in the mood for it especially during summer when it tends to move all over my face (ok that was an exaggeration lol), I just love the velvety look of mattes. I love Dubonnet and Show Orchid though :)

You mean on the inner rim of the lips? That's just lipsticks in general. Nature of the beast. The thicker the formula and the more you have on, the more it'll do it.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Okay, lol, good to know! I guess I haven't noticed this on anyone else, but then again I don't monitor everyone's lips.

Yeah thicker formula lipsticks tend to migrate in towards the lips, just as lipgloss tends to migrate out towards to outer corners of the mouth. If you use thicker formulas of lipsticks (mattes, amps, etc), try not to apply so much of it, as this will help prevent it from buliding up so much on the inner part of the lips. And do the finger swipe more often throughout the day as well. This will help remove the buildup and prevent it from getting on your teeth.

I don't understand the whole "i'm going to the club, so I need to look as cheap and easy as possible." Obviously people like to dress nice when going out. You want to look your best and have some fun, but really many girls just take it as dressing as slutty as possible. I just don't see the appeal of looking like a tramp.. you get what you pay for with a man. He picks you up because you look easy, it's not going to be worth much in the morning.
I have been known to dress like a so called tramp at the club and i dont go home wit men or even give phone numbers out, so i am jus going out to have fun and a good reason to wear a slutty outift i have had no reason to wear. its the club, if ur comfortable in it then do your thing. i NEVER go out looking for men at a club any way!!! personally i see more chicks i would rather hook up wit at the club then men, im not big on men atm.

Glad someone said it lol. I dont dress like that very much because I hate my body lol, but a lot of my friends do. It's not to pick up men, it's because they just want to. I'll dress like that for new years at the club and it's DEFINITELY not because I'm picking up men lol.
