I feel like we've seen a lot of this before minus the greenish yellow lipglass. This collection is making me yawn a bit. I wanted to get excited for it, but I'm just not there.

It's all in fun! I actually think, if anything, they went too safe with this collection considering the Simpsons theme. I was waiting for a blue lipstick...

I think it matches the theme and who knows, it might turn out to be incredibly beautiful when on! It could be more sheer than it looks in the one swatch we have seen or might be something awesome for layering. I'm skipping it because I'm not a gloss fan, but I do see where the idea for it came from and why it is a part of the collection.

LE collections esp with some fun collaborations leads to some wild and new shades sometimes. It may not be for everyone but it does go with the theme and can be fun for makeup enthusiasts who love playing with unique and bright shades. For mellowed down shades, there is always MAC's huge permanent collex and other LE's in line with the theme!

Then you should skip....for me I am a simpson fan and a blush girl! I love MAC blushes. The collection isn't making me yawn. People are so disappointed but I don't see how? They did way more than they did with Miss Piggy! And she is iconic and fabulous.

Exactly, me too a bright blue lipstick and bold colours as well, this collection is boring IMO.

Yes, I am not a huge Simpsons fan (although I like them okay), so that alone isn't enough to get me to go crazy with the collection. It's nice that they did more products for this collection than for Miss Piggy and some similar collections, but I just don't think the majority of the products are especially unique. I never said it was a bad collection or that I wouldn't be getting anything from it, though. I simply said that they could have went less safe with it, and I stand by that. If you look at my original post that you quoted... I was standing up for this collection, not ragging on it.

I'm with you here. I'm not a Simpsons fan and I'm not crazy at all about the packaging (it'd have to be an amazing product for me to get something, to be honest). But I guess it's one of those collections where if you're a fan, you'll like the packaging, and if not, it'll probably be a skip. Kind of like a lot of people disliking the packaging for RHPS except for those who are fans.
