MAC x The Simpsons Collection (Sept 4, 2014)

I'm not about the whole non-fans not liking the packaging and fans will like the packaging bit. I am a Simpsons fan and while I find the packaging fits the theme and is fun, I'm not crazy about it or any of the products as a whole. I am also a huge RHPS fan and while I think the packaging for it is nice, I'm not overly crazy about that packaging either. Packaging is not really ever a deal breaker for me though, the product is. If the product is gorgeous and in hideous packaging, I could honestly care less and will still end up with it. Gorgeous packaging, hideous product = skip.

Though I enjoy special packaging and the collection themes, it all depends on how the actual product turns out to be...

I enjoy it too and think it's nice to have some items that just look special in the ol' stash. But the product inside is and should be the thing you buy for, in my opinion.

Yeah, the packaging doesn't really sway me too much... although if the packaging is gorgeous and the product is mediocre I could be swayed. I think I prefer simple packaging for the most part. Or ornate in just a "pretty" way, I guess, if that makes sense. The big pictures and stuff like that I'm not as much of a fan of. I suppose I prefer them to look more elegant? Anyway, the packaging here is fine, I suppose. I think I would have loved it more if there were no picture, and if the packaging were all yellow. I kind of like Marge engraved into the blush, but I know a lot of people don't seem to care for that.

I feel the same way, while this is fun it's not really something I'd want to be pulling out of my purse in public. I prefer minimal and elegant special packaging over fun packaging any day of the week. I also like the engraving! I think they did a great job with that!

I think the packaging is cute,a little kitschy but nevertheless, cute! Reminds me a little bit of the Archie's girl's style but for Simpsons. Probably gonna be a big haul for me.

It reminds me of that too. I wish it was all yellow but the way it is doesn't bother me.

Special Package or not I'm all about buying as long as I like the product. Special packaging however, makes my makeup stash looks awesome.

I actually kind of liked the Maleficent packaging just because of how simple and almost boring it was haha. I definitely liked it more in person than online, though. TLK and Sculpt are still winners for me. The Simpsons blushes do sound like they will be nice. I probably won't be getting them, but I think, as long as the formulas are good, they will flatter a lot of people!

That's probably what I'll stick to. Not sure if I want all of them or not, but at least a couple.
