I felt the same way until I learned about the Nars Audacious collection.I just... can't wait almost two months. I just keep looking at the swatches and dying. Can't wait for some lip swatches
Yup. Nars gets my lipstick money in September, mac gets it in October.I felt the same way until I learned about the Nars Audacious collection.
I'm not Erin or Mac-Guy, but I'm NC15 with strong yellow undertones and yep, the wrong vampy lip is very aging and makes my skin look so dull. The right ones work great and takes away the yellow, though! Also, I need advice on vampy lips, maybe from MAC Guy or my trusty Erin? I am NC15-20ish, somewhere in between the two. I have yellow undertones. I seem to have a hard time with dark lips, I look more yellow, like sallow and sick. Are there any good options for me this fall? Or is this maybe more about what blush/eye makeup I wear with the vampy lips? I really want to nail this look this fall! (without people asking if I feel OK)
You definitely want to keep the eyes very simple, and blush subtle. And as [@]liba[/@] said, it's about finding the right base colour that flatters you the most. And if that means trying them in before buying, then you've gotta do that. But the most important thing to pulling these off is CONFIDENCE!!!Ok I am in trouble with this collection! I can't even make a list right now, I'm overwhelmed. Also, I need advice on vampy lips, maybe from MAC Guy or my trusty Erin? I am NC15-20ish, somewhere in between the two. I have yellow undertones. Agree! It has moved to the top of my listI'm interested in it too!
Thank you! I can do purple-y, so that is definitely a good starting point! I agree about not too much black or brown, not a good look for me. I will have to make plans to see this collection in person!I'm not Erin or Mac-Guy, but I'm NC15 with strong yellow undertones and yep, the wrong vampy lip is very aging and makes my skin look so dull. The right ones work great and takes away the yellow, though! What works best for me: - not too much black in the base. I want to get the darkness from the color mix more than from extra added black. 'Just makes it dull and clashes with the yellow skin undertone. - not to much brown. Makes my skin look drab, but it can be compensated for if the color overall has richness, like really vibrant deep mahogany or chetnut. - more purple/wine, rather than red/burgundy overall - nicer match with the skin tone, but if there's a lot of blue, it can't also have tons of black or I'm back in the unflattering zone. Try Before Buy Time! it's a big help to be able to try things on. At least we know everything is matte in this collection - can't go wrong with that.
Thanks Erin! This is going to be the fall that I finally find my perfect vampy lip!You definitely want to keep the eyes very simple, and blush subtle.
