I went in store and had a makeover...I told them to use next to skin blusher on my lids...it is amazing. a nice, neutral beige. It is very light...I am a NC15-20 and it was still pale on my cheeks...but was an awesome base for the Simpson pink blusher which was layered on top.
Ahh, thanks for telling me that! Its sounds pretty. I can't wait to see how other shades layer with it too.

Ugh Kylie Jenner. The thing that bothers me the most is that people act like she invented something fabulous and is now a style icon. People have been overdrawing their lips since the beginning of lipliner.

Its not the overdrawn lips I have a problem with, we all use make up to change things we don't like. Some contour, others draw their eyebrows etc, what bothers me about her is that everyone keeps making a big deal about whatever stupid lipstick she's wearing like she invented something new or unheard of.

Lol! The baby can go too! Idk just sounded so funny when I read it .. I don't care for the family but I really do hate how everyone says she so beautiful don't get me wrong in sure Kim before fame was beautiful but now she's just fake there is nothing natural about her face I find her face so unattractive because in my opinion it does not look natural it looks TOO perfect not trying to hate but she could deff go with out all that Botox and lip injections and crap
I agree, I can't get over her big fake butt

I've got 25 more pages of messages to read, but thought i'd jump in.

I hit the road Monday evening to drive back from teaching in central Wisconsin over the Labor Day weekend. I drove there because i was teaching medieval cooking classes and i had to bring my pots and pans and kitchen tools and food processor and ingredients... I took a longer way home than there, driving west through South Dakota (i'd visited Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands years before) and then southwest through Wyoming on state and country roads (really nice scenery) to Rawlins where i caught I-80 and then headed straight home.

I dawdled a little, having dinner each night in a different place, otherwise eating yogurt and canned soup in the car. I had to be home in time to check out this collection at my local MAC by 10 AM!

I got there about 10 minutes before they opened the doors, which is later than usual for me. There was a surprising crowd - about 7 or 8 people - which i didn't expect for Artificially Wild. But when the doors open and everyone rushed in, i realized i'd forgotten it was the Simpsons release day, too, and that's what they were all there for. The Simpsons stuff looks better in person than in photos, but i just wasn't excited about it. I was there for Artificially Wild... and it seemed i was the only one.

I already own Icon lipstick, Explicit lipglass, and Stone lip liner. De-Nude lipglass was an interesting color, but just too warm for me, and there was no tester out for Spite. I did pick up Obviously Bare, which was even better in person than i'd hoped, a creamy muted cool nude. I figured i didn't want any of the new lipsticks, until i tested Shitake and knew the medium cool brown was for me. Most peachy-orangey colors are not good on me, so Photo, Siss, and Yash were all skips.

I already own Pink Cult blush - a HG blush for me. I figure Taupe might work, but i already have some other matte neutral brown contouring blushes and i don't need to reduplicate. I tested Next to Skin and it was a winner for a nearly nude look on me.

Then I caved and got all the eyeshadows and cream color bases. I generally don't wear really dark eye shadows but I think these medium-dark eye shadows will be great for shaping and contouring the eyes. I'm less sure about what i'll do with the CCBs, since i'm new to them - i have one or two others that i mostly use as highlighters - but i couldn't possibly pass up a dirty mustard olive! It may work as contour for a slightly unnatural look on me - i bet it will work well on someone darker, esp. with olive skin tone..

I may still go back and check out Spite lipglass and give De-Nude a second chance, since it's an unusual color and i'm a sucker for odd colors. I think this is a great collection for Fall-Winter. I'm sure i'll get plenty of use out of the eye shadows and blush.

I'm in trouble lol I need a bu de nude this gloss is stunning but they are going bad too quick what to do
I think I've been lucky (so far). I haven't really had any glosses go bad quick. I don't buy a ton of them but that's only because I really don't wear them like I used to. All of my TR glosses are still perfectly fine....I just don't like them lol

I tried mine today, I used it for contouring and I love it! It's very easy to work with, blends easily and is buildable. I think I do need a BU.

I hope you like it!
Cool! So far it sounds like everyone that bought it really likes it. Thanks for letting me know. I was still unsure up until I hit the submit button

Spite is that perfect gloss for me and surprisingly I've worn it more than I've worn any gloss in years lol. I guess I should give De-Nude another try to see if I really like it or not

Next to Skin didn't show up on me--NC-15--so I would be careful ordering backups until you try it on. Just got Shitaki, which goes a little plummy brown on me, which I think suits me, and all the eyeshadows except the mustard-coloured one. I think the eyeshadows are the winners of this collection, personally! Nice muted smoky eye look that will look great with a stronger lip. I noticed a lot more earthy-toned colours in the fall fashions, too, when I was at the Bay today before visiting the Mac counter. Was surprised how much I liked the green Simpsons eyeshadow quad in person--may go back for that or ask for it for my birthday. It's much subtler and more unusual than I thought it would be.
