MAC Artificially Wild Collection (Sept 4, 2014)

I tried my Icon on last night and LOVE it, it's so different. Since I'm fairly pale and blonde I'll probably wear some warmer colors on the rest of my face. Reddish-browns, oranges, maybe some greens and purples would work. Hmmm, I'm realizing that I don't have a lot of warm e/s.

I din't think of purples... huh, I think I will try that tomorrow :bouquet:

I see you're in Anaheim. I used to live in Irvine and Tustin. I miss SoCal so much! My dream is to move back there some day. If I can find a way to afford it.

Aww that sucks, I understand the feeling. I had to spend 4 months in Memphis and another 3 in Brooklyn and I couldn't wait to get back. It all comes with a prize like you say, living here (decently) isn't easy. Yay Irvine!

Yeah, I realized as I thought about my favs that I probably have more pinkish browns than true browns. Twig is one of my favs of all my lippies. If you ever decide to try a dark brown I really do like Double Shot (it's perm), and Film Noir is very dark and dramatic. I guess I consider nudes the lighter beige browns. Do you have any reddish-browns? I love those in Fall.

I'll get double shot as soon as these new collections are out of the way!!! I think I might have one reddish brown, I think Sin? Is film noir le?

Double shot is sold out now, anyhow. Film Noir is perm. Most of my lippies are. I bought a lot of them before I was on Specktra, and then I could rarely get the LE ones since by the time I found out about them they were sold out. I bought several reddish-browns from last summers Nudes and Metallics collection, though. (No one seemed too interested in that one!). I love them in a Fall and Winter. Fresh Morrocan is a nice perm one. Are you going to get any of the lippies from the matte lip collection?

Yes, you have to pay for that climate! I was living in Atlanta, GA and was offered a job in Irvine. I had never even heard of it before then. It's so nice there and so close to Laguna, Newport and Corona Del Mar. I loved living there but I was always broke! I'll bet you "loved" the humidity in Memphis! That's the thing I had the most about the East Coast weather. It does seem to be getting more humid out there, though. Is it my imagination or true? Edit: I had to look it up online. Apparently the summer that I remember, 2006, was unusually humid. It says climate change is changing the oceans which is slightly increasing the humidity there. Probably not this summer, though, with the drought.

I don't think she is as attractive as her Hype factor, but I gotta love the girl for making it okay to be petite and curvy because before that, I had no chance at ALL.  So, I can't hate too much, but I will say, what fucking talent does she have besides being rich?  I have not seen her sex tape, so I cannot comment on pornography skills, but my guess is that is probably as average as everything else about her, besides her overly processed body and make up.  I think Paris Fucking Hilton may have more talent than Kim.  And the way the whole family talks with all the pausing between words drives me bonkers.  DH loves to watch them, don't ask me why, but Bruce J is the only one of them that has a lick of sense and I think he has had as much plastic surgery as any of them, so that washes out that.  I get their popularity, but the sad state of the preoccupation of the American public is what I think should be up for the negative judgment.  We have created our Frankensteins my fellow Americans, and we must all share the blame and responsibility.

I agree...I love her for making it sexy to be short and have a fuller body...especially the lower half. i think they are annoying as fuck too...I find it hilarious that your DH watches the show....my teenage daughter follows the younger 2...and thinks they are cool...cringe....

There are black women in abundance built like KK, and naturally, too. That girl didn't make curves acceptable.

The humidity and heat are the two biggest reasons I left VA/DC. I LOVE Oregon. Now if it would just start raining and get cool again... I'm over summer. It aggravates my migraines.

Semi-final haul: Artificial Earth, Natural Wilderness and Marsh. I didn't like Stony when I swatched it on me, Au Nature I didn't have a clue how I'd use it on a day-to-day, and Breaking Ground just didn't look spectacular enough on my skin to warrant a purchase. It was pretty, but that was also a head-scratcher on what I would do with it. I don't think I'd get much use out of it like I do with Improper Copper and Hush are my favorite. I'm still going back and forth on Obviously Bare. By itself, I think it would look too ashy on me, but having just bought a nice nude lippie from Charlotte Tilbury, I think it might be a nice pairing. I will have to bring it with me back to the store and check them out together.

I'm surprised you did not mention the traffic in MD/DC/VA. It is the worst in the country aside from Los Angeles.

I've seen fresh Moroccan and loved it, I just didn't know NW girls could pull it off! I'll have to check it out then! I'm pretty sure I'm getting EVERYTHING from this collection... I love matte...
