I stopped by 2 mac counters today and one hasn't even received the VGR2 products yet, which I thought was weird. The MUA's even told me it wouldn't be out till October. Then when I said it launched online online today, they told me that meant they wouldn't release until 2 weeks from the online release date. I said "No, it comes out at counters on the 11th". They still argued it was 2 weeks from now and finally looked it up in the book and were surprised to see that yes it is this Thursday. How could they not know? Anyway, both counters don't think it will sell out right away but I'm worried now. I hope by the time I get off of work at 4pm it's still there.

I went to a counter today and the MUA said they will have it by Thursday but will only have a limited supply. She said it will probably sell out within an hour.

Once again, the case of the well informed MUA. If I were a Mac manager I would make sure my staff joined Specktra so that they would know what they are talking about. That has happened to me 3-4 times as well.

Im debating..with Nastygal and the matte lippies in October...hmmm
I wouldn't get your heart set on the Nasty Gal collection. There's a good chance it probably won't even happen. On the other hand, there would be more money for the matte collection then!

Gawd that's so frustrating. Reminds me of trying to get my Timesheet today, girls like, "der idk, I think it's like, out if toner...? Now it's telling me to lift something, I don't understand what the printer wants..." 30 minutes later I'm like, nevermind, I don't need a timesheet. I may not understand MY printer, but girl, that's ur whole job is getting ppl their timesheets. Sorry, I had a LONG day.

I know! As I drove away I just kept thinking how is it that I know more about this than the people that work there? Lol, that is just too funny in a really sad way.

That's how I feel 95% of the time after I leave a MAC counter. There's only certain people at a couple of counters who are knowledgeable about collections.

It sure is! And actually the kids aren't even half as bad as the adults. I could say more but I'm sure you can just imagine.
You are a stronger woman than I! I try so hard with my cousins that age, but sometimes I think NOTHING I say matters because I'm not "cool." Like if some random guy with a mohawk and a tattoo tells them to drop out of school and do drugs they'll be like "awesome! are you on instagram?!" I love them because they're just kids who think they're adults, and they need us, and they're good people, but I feel like they're so close to falling off an edge and they don't even know it. But you're right, even with my own cousins, half of that attitude is because of their parents... Like my cousin Julio rebels because his mom and dad treat him like he'll never be as good as his sisters, they fight like CRAZY, like screaming and breaking glass and throwing stuff, but he's never even frowned at me... And my cousin Sol is never going to get anywhere in life because she was raised to think she was already perfect and all she has to do is make babies and life will work itself out. Actually she's 20 now, but things that happened in middle school made her who she is now... Maybe that's it, it's scary because adults are made out of middle schoolers... Anyway, it's good to know their teachers are influencing them too, not just their parents and their friends!!!!!

I promise I'll stick to makeup now lol Although that's a whole other issue, my 11 year old cousin's dad is messing him up because my little cousin puts on nail polish and makeup and stuff sometimes when he's with me because it's just fun, and his dad is a NASTY homophobe who calls him gay and gets furious if he finds out. Now THAT'S how you create a teenager who hates you.

Lmao at EVERYTHING you just said! I see it everyday. Still, I guess I've just gotten so used to the kids over the years that I can deal with the hormones, immaturity, insecurity, attitude, special needs...you name it. What I haven't gotten used to is the stupidity of some of the adults I work with, lol. Your situation sounds a lot like mine. Everyone has a job but no one seems to know how to do it.
