I'm going to swatch Superwatt and Woodwinked to see how they compare on my skin. I love Woodwinked. It was my first MAC eyeshadow.

Could you do it? What do you think?

I've been testing all the Electric Cool eyeshadows i got to make sure they work OK. I got five of them.
• My absolute fave is Love Power - the pale pink just brightens up my eyes and makes them look young and alert! I'm flirting with a BU...
• Pure Flash is 2nd, it's a nice cool gold on me and brightens up my eyes, but i have other golds, so i don't need a BU.
• Third is the new Gilded Thrill, a coppery gold, darker than LP and PF, but it looks pretty good, although it turned a bit more coppery red after an hour or two.
• I'm less enamoured of Superwatt - described as light taupe, on me it's fairly dark, almost looks like i had a looong night. I have other taupes, so I may return it.
• Finally, in 5th places... I really love how Highly Charged looks when it first goes on - it's rich cool purple with pink sparkles. But after a couple hours it turns bruise burgundy and i look really sick and abused - I have some burgundy powder shadows, but i can control how they look. I did a second test, put it on REALLY thick and it only turned around the edges - but i don't want to have to put on such a thick coat to wear it... I'm going to give it another test or two over different eye primers and see if it behaves any better.

I got four of the Fluidline Pencils: the blue purple Evil Twin, Deep Blue Sea, khaki green Water Willow, and gold Atomic Ore. They're certainly quicker to use than a real jar of fluidline, but they just don't give as wonderful results. Still, I may get the deep brown one eventually, because it's not always easy to find a good brown for those of us who don't use black liner.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Myself lipstick - which i've said before. It's a very natural nude on me, and i don't find the Lustre finish drying. I was considering getting a BU, but i have some other good nudes, so i'll probably pass. I got Lingering Kiss - i haven't worn it yet, but it's definitely my kind of color. None of the other lipsticks appealed to me.

I vowed to get no more lipglasses after Pedro Lourenço's two mirror glosses (O!M!G! fabulous!), but i got three from this collection. Talk Sexy, the deep plum-berry, looks good but i have too many plums, still i'm a pushover for more. I had to order Reckless Desire on-line because my local MAC didn't get any (!!!) - i was a little disappointed the first time i tried it on because it was much brighter and less grey than i thought it would be - i'll be keeping it anyway - can't have too many lavenders. I've been wearing Wanting More, the muted lavender creme, the most - it's just a couple steps bluer than my natural lips, and a jot lighter, so it works as a cool nude on me.

I also broke my vow not to get anymore blushes after Proenza Schouler and got Animal Instincts, because it was a rich plum color, and i have a soft spot for plum blushes. I do need to powder my face before i use it next time, because my moisturizing skincare products made it go on a little darker than i prefer. But i do love the color.

All in all, i got way too much stuff from this collection, but it's all good, except for Highly Charged & Superwatt Electric Cool eyeshadows. I skipped all of July, The Simpsons was a total skip for me, and next month i'll be skipping Brooke Shields Beauty Icon, Marcel Wanders Ultimate, Rocky Horror Picture Show (well, there are 1 or 2 things i want), Kinky Boots, and of the Matte Collection all i want is Styled in Sepia lipstick and Bespoken For lip liner, although there are 2 other lipsticks i want to test.

Love the gloss, the e/s is a little bit meh. Applied it with fingers on bare skin but tried with brushes on bare/primed skin and with fingers on primed skin aswell. Like Mac's regular E/S better.

I think you'd like Superwatt, too. I also bought and love Coil, and Superwatt looks great with the Earthline pencil that we both like.

I LOVE the contrast of dark lipstick on pale skin! It has a way of being so chic and striking.

Thanks ladies. I'm still thinking on getting Hearts Aflame. I guess there's no better time to try a darker color than fall. I'll let you know if I decide to go for it.

I will if I remember once I get home. I've worn Superwatt pretty much all week and it does remind me of Woodwinked. I love the fact I can just apply it with my finger and then throw on some eyelinrer and mascara.

This is one of my favorite quads ever and I have A LOT.  I like how it isn't quite a grey/black/white quad because these are muted tones.  I usually prefer the purple quad in a collection the best, but this one rocked my socks off. Very pretty Honi, you are convincing me to get Switch to Blue!  If I can hunt it down.  It is really pretty with your complexion.  I like the pink blush too... Gorgeous, jenise, you always give good lip pucker in your swatches and I love that.  Sassy! I really like LK on you, but that e/s combo is smoking as well.  I am envious of those skills.  The face with the contour and blush is beautiful too.  Whole face = I love it! Beautiful, you are breeding so many lemmings for me here, because these are the 2 I skipped.  I think the pairing with an elegant black liner is brilliant.  Your eyes really pop here.
