Now that we're on the subject of depotting; what's y'alls favorite method?? (My autocorrect REALLY wanted to make that "deporting", which would have been a whole different convo. lol) I'm getting ready to depot my ever-growing eyeshadow collection so I've been reading up on it, but I trust y'alls recommendations a lot more than teenage YouTubers. :)
Candle.

I use a candle or a long lighter. I have no patience for the iron method.

Flat iron method is what I use. But instead of wax paper I prefer cupcake liners.
I've been using my flat iron to depot them. You put a piece of wax paper on the plate of your flat iron and heat it up. The wax paper is so nothing melty gets on your flat iron. You then pop the pan out of the pot and place the pan with the plastic ring around it on it on the flat iron and wait a minute or two for the glue to soften up and then you just pop the pan out of the plastic ring with a butter knife and you're done! If you want the sticker off the bottom of the pot, you can just place it on the flat iron for a few seconds and then it will easily peel right off so you can re-use it. :)

A flat top stove would work for multiple items at once.
Thanks for the great advice!

I agree with this. I am a little concerned with how it can look so vivid and vibrant in some swatches then so flat and muted in others.

I was WAY too impatient for the flat iron method. So I used a barbecue lighter, held it under the plastic until it was melted then pushed on the back with a butter knife until the pan popped out. Super easy and fast. The video I watched used a candle, not a lighter, and I tried that but dropped my plum dressing into the wax so I switched to the lighter.

That is a good idea, selling some of your bright colors you rarely reach for. I personally don't love rebel, but I love Heaux...so that is the only thing pulling me back in to FR.
Dolly, some people have compared KVD Bauhau5 to Heaux. Maybe something to check out if you don't like the FR swatches.

I was worried about taking in my depotted cases too but both times, two different counters, the girl barely glanced at them. I don't think they really care.
I went to B2M (first time) my depotted shadows today and the girl barely glanced at them lol...whew!

I'll swatch them side by side some time soon. I love Heaux so much, my fave lippie to wear. Thanks babe
On me, Heaux pulls a touch pinker than Bauhau5 in the Studded Kiss version. In the liquid lipstick version, it's the opposite--Bauhau5 (liquid) is much more pink than Heaux.
