Oh come now! They're both great….but yeah, Gunner is a little MORE great
Thank you for posting these! They are very accurate!!!! I'll only add that of course, they don't look as glossy in person, of course (dumb cameras!) On my skin tone (NC15), Punk Couture goes quite a bit darker, but Gunner looks exactly like your photo on me. Next up, MAC - make Gunner perm, you goofballs!!!
Thanks Pretty Honeybee!!! You're going to flip when you try them on.
Stunner is very blue based and vibrant - it's going to look very bright on darker skin tones for sure. Out of all the blue based reds from MAC this season, I'd say Stunner is the most vibrant and blue based, without leaning pink, while Salon Rouge is the classiest and Frank-n-Furter is the most muted. They're all great, but yeah they are all blue reds. I didn't buy Salon Rouge at first, because I felt it was so close to FnF, which I'd JUST bought, I couldn't justify it, even though I felt it was more jewel like. I did buy Stunner, because it was just so tempting when I tried it on, I couldn't resist. I think I will break down and get SR too, because for my taste, it's the richest and most complex of the three, but they are all fabulous and now I have WAAAAAAAYYYYYY too many red lipsticks to live, lol.
Just on a side note, I still think Strange Journey is the #1 most unusual and unique of all the reds MAC came out with this fall (which is saying a lot!!!) and the most modern. I also think 5 Alarm will turn out to be the best one for all year round use, because of its softness and slight sheerness. Sparks of Romance was the biggest missed opportunity, only because I wish it had been even more metallic and with a lot more glitter bits - if you're going that way, you might as well go big or go home, imo. I'm wearing it today anyways hahaha.
