The Saga of the Missing Little Black MAC Box

I knocked on my new downstairs neighbor's door last night, but she hadn't seen my little black box. I couldn't look for it outside last night because it was dark and raining.

So i went out searching this morning. I looked over the fence at the end of the driveway where her back door is, but i didn't see anything. So i walked around the other side of the house. I found the sad, soggy black box on the other side of a locked chain-link gate for which i have no key. Luckily i could stick my little hand through the links, grab the box (it took a few tries to reach it), and eventually work it up so i could get a good hold on it and bring it over the fence.

The box was so very saturated and water-logged, since it has been raining most of the week since it was delivered. I usually save my black boxes and use them for storage, but i just tore this one apart - it was so wet i didn't need any particular strength.

Fortunately the pigment & glitter set was in a little plastic bag, so relatively unscathed. The Gunner box was pretty wet, however, so i let it dry out for a while before i opened it - i keep my lipsticks in their boxes and i didn't want to destroy it. The lipstick tube was damp, so i wiped it off. Then with some trepidation i opened it. Whew, no moisture! Gunner was OK.

I understand that the UPS delivery person was concerned my package might be stolen. However i have gotten 3 other packages - Urban Decay, Beautylish, and sephora, all larger than that little MAC black box - left on my front porch on different days this month (yes, MAC, i have been unfaithful), not counting a couple large art books that came from Istanbul Turkey, and no one took them. I live in a sketchy neighborhood, have for over 12 years (during which time it has gotten a bit less sketchy), and so far none of my packages has ever been stolen, altho i know there's always the possibility of a first time. (not to mention that i have NO rear door!)

I am wearing Gunner now. It isn't as blue as it looks in some people's photos, but i am quite happy with it. It must have thought it was lost at sea for a week!

I'm so happy you finally found it and none of the products took any damage inside the box.

I'm glad I missed the restock. I did not need a back-up. I'm gonna start working at the start of the new year and it's not a color that's work-safe. I have to start being practical.

I'm regretting not purchasing it because I see how gorgeous it is on everyone else. Maybe I should just go on ahead and get it.

Wow really!? On me RRW is pink in pics but in person it's reddd!!! Stunner, hmmm It's sooo pink on me in both person and in photo. haha, I call it a romantic red, a red so pink it's almost actually really pink... Stunner could even be a reddened pink lol

Didn't get a back up of Runner but ended up getting Gunner...hubby is the culprit...he kept saying it would look good on me lol...ordered it Sunday night supposedly free overnight shipping...just came in today lol...sure made my teeth yellow though...but I'm frikkin lovin it!!!

I'll have to take a picture with Stunner on and compare it to me RRW picture. The only other super red matte I have is Michael Todd's Affection (which is almost an exact dupe as well).

Thanx for all the love galz!!! That Prestige pencil in Masquerade, that I spoke of earlier in the thread really helped me outline Gunner neatly since I like to go outside my natural lip line with dark colors

Any faves??? Lately I've really been loving Smashbox Bing, it's got just a touch of orange in it for that POP!!! I also like Nars Cruella and Dragon Girl, both r head turners... The Ruby Woo lip pencil is nice too from the holiday red lip bag

Good morning. I love Ruby Woo, Dragon Girl, Mysterious Red, Cruella, Hexgram, Kinky, Stunner, Bite's Tannin, KVD's Bachelorette, RiRi Woo, Heaux ( Berry-red) just to name a few. Lol
