ohhhh I like that idea. I'm getting it now! Thank you! LOLI think looking good would get more use than the usual fun colored ones! It will look really nice paired with marsalesque type neutrals and gold tones!! I am hoping it has a deeper quality to it being burgundy and not red !!
Lustres dry my lips out like crazy!
It's all about pistachio ice cream
The biggest problem with Lustres I think is that they're easy to over apply. That's when they start getting uneven, shorten the wear time and can become drying. If you use a light touch, expecting it won't be fully opaque, you'll find they give a very smooth quality to the lips. I have very pigmented lips, so that can be nice too, since the color will blend with the natural lip color quite nicely. Not all Lustres are as good, but I think MAC has been doing much better with them overall - just don't expect too much from nude ones, necessarily. Those will be the trickiest ones in this formula, since the wrong color will either not show up or seem weird against the skin tone.T seems to think lack of pigmentation = miss. That's not always true since lustres are suppose to be somewhat sheer. Liba gave a really great description of what they are and what they do for your lips in one of last year's spring collection thread (sorry I can't remember which one it is!). Liba said it's suppose to make your lips "juicy and youthful" so it doesn't seem fair to say these lustres are a miss just because they aren't as opaque or pigmented compared to satin/matte or retro matte lipsticks.
Sucks, because they always look so pretty but their wear time is so short that they just aren't worth getting sand lips for. Lolme too! :sigh:
Yum!Mint chocolate chip!!! I want some now lol
Haven't seen or heard of any reviews yet. Meanwhile, I thought the 137 was going to be perm? Anyhoo. There are similar brushes out there for less money (Hakuhodo G5538 ($30 USD) and Wayne Goss #14 ($33 USD)). You can use them for highlighter or for very pigmented blushes and bronzers. Are there any good reviews on the 137 Long Blending Brush? I love how it looks but I'm not sure I want to drop $42 on it. I guess it would be nice for highlighter and blush? Are MAC's LE brushes usually worth it?

Thanks for the reminder! That brush does have a similar shape and function. I may decide to pick that one up instead as I really like the WG brushes that I currently have.Anyhoo.
