i especially wanted nude pink -- i thought it had to be amazing since it was sold out online and in the store i went to, but i really wasn't impressed. it honestly reminded me of a light brown matte bronzer, like too faced milk chocolate bronzer. it was just very dull and flat; def not a "highlight" powder in my opinion. i think a lot of people thought the powders were going to be amazing b/c of the silver in the pan, but after swatching it in the store, the silver wore right off. i actually just looked at temptalia's swatch of nude pink and it looks very peachy in her swatch. when i swatched it, it looked NOTHING like that.

Oh, I rocked Cardinal today for the occasion, lmao. I know, I'm lame. But I do feel it's doing the darker red that I wanted from that ad than when I first tried it when I got it. So definitely lighting. The below are near the window at home this morning: This was the other evening indoors, I think w/flash
Very beautiful

i just went to the mac on fifth avenue to check out the highlight powders. i was regretting not buying them, but after swatching them, i'm glad i didn't. nude pink was sold out, but the sample was still in the display. it was like a light brown on me (i'm nc20) and kind of dull/flat. pink blush was a soft pink -- pretty color, but nothing spectacular. the color was similar to pearl blossom from mac is beauty, but pearl blossom has a really pretty satiny, sheen to it. i'm so happy i went with pearl blossom instead.
I'm sorry but those are nice to look at but soooo boring for my skin tone. The one I saw, the overspray was already gone leaving the dull matte color. It's actually more of an "underspray" because the silver parts are sunken into the powder (lol). I'm sure it will work for someone, but not me. Time Sq was sold out of the nude one since this a.m. I got Pearl Blossom too, love it.

I remember someone had asked me to post a swatch of Blush Pink when I got it, so here goes!

The left is all of it swirled together and the right I just tried to get the silver, but it pretty much rubs right off so it's pointless lol. It is really pretty though!
Oh you just made me want pick up blush pink. Thanks for the swatch!

Looks so beautiful, singer! I hustled my butt downtown to the Toronto Pro store just to pick it up today... yeah, I could've ordered online but I wanted to see it in person and it's the only store in the city to get this collection. Maybe now that I've had some lunch and a cup of tea, I'll go play with it.

If you're near the Pro store today, you should have a look in person. All the stuff looks pretty but in the end I realized I only really wanted RW.
Yeah the pro store isn't the closest but it's not far from me so I'll go to the Queen St location sometime today. I wanted RW too but I saw mixed reviews so I'm on the fence

Just put this up in the MM thread:
Everyone's done it, but I swatched MM next to Cardinal and I still prefer Cardinal. MM is a touch brighter, real cherry red as it's described. Definitely more smooth to apply than Cardinal because of the finish. But I brought my WnW Fergie Saraghina and I think I like that the most, lmao!

I understand. It was the reason why I went to see it in person and then I thought it was much better than expected and I realized I was willing to look past that criticism for the colour. What was disappointing to me was that Ivy from MIB swatched a bit more sheer than I wanted it too... but it didn't stop me from purchasing it because I will make it work for me. I must be in bright colour mode for Spring now.

I hear you on the bright colours! I only swatched our secret, which I bought. I also bought looking good and blue peep without swatches. I did eye Ivy and Siahi maybe I will swatch them and RW at the pro store. If you love it enough im sure you'll find a way to make it work!

I got Blue Peep too... I was not walking away from it without having one of the MUA help me try it on though because I wasn't sure it was something I'd get enough use out of. She did a great and convincing job though, since I walked away with it.

BP is awesome! It was one of the first fluidlines/MAC products I purchased but then I used Waveline and Blacktrack (also firsts) more often and slacked on it, my sister loved it and I ended up giving it to her...I went to liquid liner for a bit but recently started using FL again and wanted Blue Peep but realized it was discontinued, when i heard it was coming back I was determined to get it again! Sounds like the girl was a good sales person!

Some blue liners/shadows that I bought last week and completely forgot about (pathetic):
L: Wet n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in "Like, Comment or Share" (someone actually mentioned it here once, can't remember who) and
R: Wet n Wild Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencil in Distress
Rite Aid had BOGO 1/2, why not? The first one was $0.79! LOL

Those who want a cheap blue fix.

The darker was $1.99, then lcs was $0.99 and I get to the cash and see it was on sale for $0.79, then BOGO. Really ridic how cheap and good their stuff is.

WnW has come a looooong way. I remember when their lipsticks were in white casing, hahaha. One of the first lipsticks you could afford as a kid in the late 80's early 90's. And their prices are still the same. Remarkable.
