OK, so I've just watched that video. Didn't I just say the other day that I was waiting for a Youtuber to break a lipstick because they wound it out too far? Now I've finally seen it, and I can't believe she blamed MAC! She also blamed them for the colours not being 'made for her'. Sorry, but it makes me angry to see someone buy half the collection, try them all out then return them. She needs to find out what type of colours would suit her first, before buying. Those lipsticks are now wasted, and could otherwise have gone to a good home. No wonder prices keep rising.
The 'just return it if you don't like the colour' culture is so wrong to me, when it comes to cosmetics. We can't do that here if the product has been opened, because of hygiene issues, even if you say it hasn't been used. In fact some shops won't let you return makeup even if it's still sealed (Boots, I'm looking at you).
It's crazy how hygiene and safety standards are different across the world. In America you can sell an eyeshadow with colors not safe for eyes as long as you put a stick on it saying so (Urban Decay) but you can return basically anything. Then items banned in Europe can get sold here no problem.

If I bought 10+ lipsticks and didnt like a single one, I'll contact a few friends and they can argue amongst themselves which ones they want. This is why I rather go on a forum, look at swatches and say yes or no. At least then, I'm not wasting my hard earned cash on something that won't work on me. As for Boots, the amount of times I went in there in a rush to pick up something, only to find the item I've picked up and paid for has its seal broken or used or something and they won't let me exchange it...
